I have just found Fair Flora.
With out giving away her location (fear of vandalism) can anyone give me
her full story?
Thanks in advance.

Last time I tried to find her I took a wrong turning. Not quite sure how
that happened.

I have a friend who knows something about her so I'll make enquiries. In
the meantime if anyone knows anything perhaps they'll be in touch .......

[Anyone reading this will probably wonder what we're on about. Well, Fair
Flora is a statue somewhere in Derbyshire.]

Addendum:

The Statue depicts Flora, the Greek Goddess of Flowers. She now stands in
the Wood known as "Flora Wood", just outside the modern village of
Grindleford, beside a footpath off Goatsciffe Farm Lane - a sideroad off the
B6521 road going towards Eyam. Her original home, it is said, was Chatsworth
House, but she was given to the owners of the nearby Stoke Hall as a gift.
Indeed, Chatsworth House grounds have a number of this type of statue.
However, the lady of the house at Stoke Hall became convinced having the
statue in the grounds was unlucky, and she was said to be frightened by it
at night, so it was moved on her insistence to its present site.

Dunno but most of Derbyshire's south of Chesterfield. Wasn't it in
Alfreton or am I thinking of something else?

79.84% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
The other 42% are made up later on.
In Warwick - looking at flat fields and that includes the castle.
