Well a Happy New Year to you all....erm....both. Just thought I'd pop in and say 'hello', hope I get heard amid the vast quantity of postings taking place in UKLC nowadays.

Now, let's see whats happening....oh dear, posts about nuclear energy, windmills, the Canadian 'pillock' - nice! So no change then, still dull, dull, dull, and still harping on about poor old whatsisname from Canada. LET IT GO!!!

On the plus side, we're thriving on Facebook - yes indeed. Just talking about Cumbria and having a laugh, all the old gang. Far too low-brow for you two guys though, you're much better off rattling around here on your own. Posting stuff to each other. It's great really.

Great to see the old group thriving, let's see how many new members you have then. None. That's odd, do neither of you have friends? If I had the whole newsgroup to myself I'd invite everyone I know along to take part in the vibrant discussions.

Oh well, a heartfelt if belated Happy New Year to the two of you anyway, you're doing a grand job. Have fun.

Lou.

Hi

Bearing in mind that posters - including yourself - were saying as
long ago as 2010 that Usenet - including UKLC - is finished and that
you, yourself only had one other person to talk to on Facebook, your
point is....????
-----------------------------------------------------------------
"......on UKLC if the number of contributors continues to slide
towards zero and everyone sods off to Facebook. The 'We Love Kerry
Katona' group has more contributions.

I'm on Facebook y'know. Oh yes I am. I have 1 friend.

Desperate regards,"

Lou (7 Sep 2010, 11:35)"
--------------------------------------------------------
"Oh for heavens' sake, don't you sod off as well! I don't want it to
be left with just Lou and me. Talk about a madhouse!"

Look at me giving you something to do! You've taken the time to look through several years posts to find an apt reply, bless!

Look, I can't just hang around here providing entertainment for you and Sleepy, I have other interests. I'll pop back later next month and give you something else to occupy those little brains of yours. In the meantime please carry on with the windmill discussions, they're brilliant they are.

Cheery pip,

Your mate Lou.

Nah, I've got staff to do that!!!.

And you would be surprised what looking through several years posts
reveals about some posters!! 8^)

I shudder to think what your other interests may be - I bet you have a
Jim'll Fixit badge; he came from your part of the country!!!

Please don't rush back on our account. Now all the dead wood and
disruptive elements have left, this NG ticks along quite harmoniously
- in fact, as a quick check shows, with more posts than most other
surviving NGs. We can certainly live without any of your bizarre,
twisted and increasingly bitter contributions.

P.S. How's the new job at Baltex Technical Textiles - I'm surprised
they took somebody of your age on, toilet attendant was it??

I love Baltex (and Linkedin), we're a fabulously inventive company. Our clients include Boeing, Nike, Smith & Nephew, et, al. Thanks for the free plug - and the toilets are spotless.

Oddly, I'm up in Barrow on Friday at the Waterfront - do you know it? I take your fab knowledge of me as a signal of friendship and, thanks to our friendly and knowledgeable ex-UKLC'er who lives a couple of streets from you, I fully expect a cup of tea on the table matey.

See ya at 3.30.

Lou.

Hi

I'm surprised they gave Lou a job - a transparently clear case of
lying at the interview. Would you give a job (allegedly in a
managerial position) to somebody who, whilst employed in his last
position, openly admitted that he spent most of his time when he was
supposed to be working, demonstrating contempt for his employers and
fellow employees, doing very little actual work but occupying himself
in sending personal (and mainly abusive) posts to a public forum
(UKLC). Examples :-
"I can still spend 70-80% of my <working> day posting drivel. (21
Sep 2009, 10:26)"

"And look at me posting in my own time. It really is a momentous
occasion. Surprised regards, (23 Sep 2009, 20:19)"

"> I didn't think you had a uklc connection at home. You seem to
>exclusively post from work.
No, it's just quieter at work.... (23 Sep 2009, 20:28)"

"...so had to park with the riff-raff factory workers - and even
spoke to one......Now it is 09.32 and I've made 8 different animals
from a box of paperclips on my desk - the Giraffe is frankly superb.
Phone keeps ringing but nobody available to answer it. (12 April
2010)"

Who shows utter contempt for his employer's clients~:-
"Well, I'm at work Edi...... I'm trying to develop a totally natural
floorcovering for a very important customer.....I am now going to
drive to their Head Office and deposit 8 tons of manure into their
foyer and recommend that as the very best natural and sustainable
product available." (23 April 2010)

" for instance last Thursday I did a call with our facility in
Thailand entirely using Sooty and Sue hand puppets (12 May 2010)"

Who shows contempt for fellow workers - particularly young and female
- a definite touch of the Jimmy Saville there if you ask me and
certainly not the sort of thing one should publicly admit to in
writing, it could almost certainly be classed as sexual harassment in
the workplace:-
"I do have an urge to unbutton the blouse of the young Uni student
we have on placement and who is sitting only a few metres away (27
July 2010) "
"....it is slightly more difficult to keep looking into the eyes of
our Receptionist when picking up my morning post - for instance, this
morning she is wearing a white blouse, with 3 silver buttons - the top
one undone (4 Aug 2010)"

Utter contempt for company property:-
"I have a company car and therefore I drive it to the extreme of its
limit safe in the knowledge that someone else will be picking up the
cost of any repairs or maintenance issues."

I could carry on - I haven't even got round to his posts which issue
death threats or wishing someone's grandchildren were dead, or his
weird posts concerning sex with animals, taking sex pills or his
gambling habit etc. etc (all posted when he should have been working).

Not the sort of person I would want to employ; his more recent posts
are still abusive, all demonstrably posted in works time in his new
job so are obviously sacking offences, and clearly bring Baltex
Technical Textiles into disrepute . One hopes for Lou's sake that
they, or their clients, never find out - I certainly have better
things to do with my time.

Hi

It's quite interesting what spending a few idle moments absently
playing with the PC whilst waiting for one's coffee to cool shows
up!!! 8^)

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahah.......no surprise in that reply then!

I really do keep you occupied don't I? Without me I honestly believe you'd have nothing to do at all! I must be your best friend I really must. I genuinely can't keep coming back to occupy you though, I'm sorry about that. I'll hand you back to Sleepy and I absolutely will not return - promise. To be totally honest - as many have said - you're a little creepy to say the least, and i don't do 'creepy'. You seem quite infatuated with me though and I can understand that - I am very humourous and friendly, so look give me a call at Baltex if you feel lonely - really I won't mind, remember to ask for me by name.

Genuine good luck for the future, and please take up my offer of that chat, don't suffer alone.

A heartfelt goodbye, not just from me but also the other ex-uklc'ers who are following my little trip back to entertain you and Sleeps.

Your best mate, Little Lou - off back to Facebook I go!!!!
