M40 down to two lanes and stop/start for miles and miles near Oxford. What a
bloody disgrace.
One wonders what happened this morning when heavy traffic and the wagons
came out to play...
Is it the cuts, or have I missed out the 'n'?.
All the gritters I've seen since the snow settled have been driving around
with their yellow lights flashing but not spreading any grit.
So when the court summonses start rolling in from motorists who've spun out
on the untreated roads, the council can say "but we sent the gritters out
twice a day" - but being careful not to mention that they didn't have any
salt in them at the time.
Not seen one for two days now.

Front page news on yesterday's paper - councils ordered to ration grit.
Translation: Stop gritting unless people start dying in road accidents
in significantly larger numbers.
That's hardly the way for a keen multiculturalist to talk, William!
Every penny counts today - and you should be rejoicing at the fact that
every penny saved on salt & grit is one more penny for councils to spend
on grants to one-legged Albanian contemporary street theatre dance
workshop groups.

'The price of vigilance is eternal weariness'
An engineering consultant stated on a news interview that every £1 spent on
gritting is worth £8 to the economy as a whole.
Of course it is.
And once more, I'm not that keen on multiculturalism, I'm a deeply
unfashionable 'integrationist'.
Mind you, you're a lethally unfashionable Nazi and revel in that.

The point about one-legged Albanian contemporary street theatre dance
workshop groups is that there aren't any, there never were any and
there probably won't ever be any.
The two Indian traditional dance groups around here certainly won't get
a grant.
Indian traditional temple dancing is ladies only...
Truth is never 'unfashionable', William - although it is often
unpalatable to some.

Ah, well, in today's completely insane Britain, it would be a brave man
who put money on a wager that a troupe of one-legged Albanian will never
hop into their local council office to receive a handsome cheque!

Yes - I can see that might be slightly problematical, given the official
policy of gender equality.
The good news, however, is that a lot of these grants are administered
by feminazi types - who, whatever their 'official' pronouncements, have
no absolutely doubt that all men are rapists and child molesters, and
are likely to look favourably upon a request by other women for a grant,
especially 'ethic' women.
To clinch it, perhaps the sacred choreography could be described as
'lesbian temple dancing', for application purposes?
That should certainly do the trick.
People will say anything.

I bet there are, even if they all have two legs.

... but if they have two legs......
Then they also have one leg!
I assume you have proof of this.
My experience of grant management is that it is over run with the sort
of suit wearing men who can't even get a job in Local Government.
