case, although they coincided in time and so became confused with one

Peter Sutclifffe was increasingly going insane and after a while, in

Sutcliffe did not know what were the "trademarks" of the Ripper, so
when Sutcliffe murdered Carole Wilkinson, Dick Holland and the gang
knew she was not a Ripper victim.
When a tenuous link to Anthony Steel was suggested by a fake witness,
the whole rotten, corrupt Dick Holland / West Yorkshire Keystone Cops
machinery swung into action, and soon a "confession" was produced.
As the months passed, the REAL Yorkshire Ripper and Peter Sutcliffe
became aware of each other's existence, but never met, although they
competed with each other and responded to each other's murders.
After Peter Sutcliffe - desperate to end his ordeal and be taken into
institutional care - forced the police to arrest him outside the West
Yorkshire jurisdiction, the REAL Yorkshire Ripper just went on killing
as before, and his killings after Sutcliffe's arrest were dubbed by

No. The era has ended and it's likely that the man who murdered Wilma
McCann, Emily Jackson, Jayne MacDonald etc. in the 1970s is dead now.
However, the Yorkshire Ripper case remains the big no-no, the big *do-
not-touch* / do not enquire nor investigate any further..... because
what you will find is too painfully embarrassing.......

women he'd 'confessed' to having killed.
Nothing has been heard of that proposed book since 2005, and recent
images of Sutcliffe show him bloated and dazed as if drugged
senseless. The obesity may be caused by an increase in medication
rather than overeating.
I don't know if Sutliffe was planning to mention Carole Wilkinson in
that book.
The policy throughout all 'officialdom' is to just keep the lid on
this and avoid any questioning of the official line.
John Humble is overdue for release, but nothing has been heard of
him.
My opinion is that the next report on John Humble will show him in a
mental hospital, with the same dazed facial expression as on Peter
Sutcliffe.
Very few people are willing to think clearly about this. It's too big,
too embarrassing, too scary.
Even the women in the front line - the English Collective of
Prostitutes - remained silent when informed that the real Yorkshire
Ripper had been deliberately left free to go on killing.
The truth about the Yorkshire Ripper case and related issues is too
big a thought to be contained in most people's minds.

There are some very nice and idealistic police officers, always young,
