I remember reading about Freddie Starr nibbling a beaver or something
in the 70's but I don't know how old the beaver was. Or maybe it
wasn't a beaver,

I heard a rumour that there are a few hospital staff
that are on Savilles will.

And that Kenny Clarke is rushing a law through to prevent him
getting into trouble because he was health secretary.

I wonder if it is just for the momentary fondling of one girl.

He'll say he can't remember any such thing and doesn't believe it
happened. And the police, having gone through the motions, will have to
give up and pick on someone else.

"Andrew Pugh 31 October 2012

Comedian Freddie Starr assaulted journalists and photographers encamped
outside his Warwickshire mansion and threatened to attack them with
baseball bats, according to reports.

The press has been camped outside Starrs home since he was linked with
the Jimmy Savile sex abuse scandal earlier this month, following claims
- which he denies - linking him to an incident involving under-age sex
in the disgraced star's BBC dressing room.

According to the Daily Star, Starr flipped yesterday and rammed a
reporters car with his Audi before swinging punches and slurring his
words in a four-letter tirade.

One member of the press said Starr pulled his hair and reached into his
car while trying to punch him, while the dishevelled comedian
reportedly told journalists: Im going to come back with a baseball
bat. Youre scum, you c***s.

Im gonna go in there and make a phone call for some lads to come down
here and f***ing wipe you out.

Starr has previously said he would be happy to speak with police in
relation to the allegations."

It reminds me of post-Dunblane, when the authorities and the media were
desperately looking for someone to pin the blame on. In the end they
settled on the group punishment of 60,000 legally licensed pistol owners.
In the Savile case, I have no problem with them going after other child
abusers who may have operated with Savile, but when they start denouncing
people who "didn't do enough" to stop him, then I am filled with disgust.
What did the media do to stop Savile? Fuck all! They were more interested
in obstructing the investigation into the disappearance of Molly Dowler than
in challenging wealthy right wing TV personalities.

No, I think the thought process seems to be:

1. It's unfair to make allegations about Jimmy when he isn't alive and
can't defend himself. Heck, we all loved and respected him while he was
still with us, and some of us had the honour to shake his hand and
inhale the cigar smoke.

2. Therefore we should see all his accusers as "hysterical" and liars
and fantasists, which neatly solves the whole problem and allows us to
move on and worry about something else.

3. If women are now coming forward and complaining of being groped at
the BBC, they too are being hysterical. Women do get hysterical, and
they have weird things called periods which we prefer not to ask too
much about. If they didn't complain about being groped at the time, it
is impertinent of them to talk about it now.

4. Everything is for the best in this best of all possible worlds and Dr
Pangloss was quite right.

Prior to his death the status quo was that there
were people at the BBC, the hospitals and the schools
that have kept quiet.

There had been investiagations by the police.

There had been allegations made to the police that were
not investigated.

If the press, incentivised to sell papers, bring this
travesty out into the open then it is a good thing.

If it leads to the arrests of existing celebrities for
similar crimes, even though it was over 30+ years and
they may have not committed a similar crime. Then yes
it is a good thing because it means that you should not
be able to escape justice for a crime.

It's fairly typical of our journalists, though. Instead of investigating
scandals, as they used to do in the good old days of the Sunday Times
and the thalidomide story, they send bunches of photographers to lay
siege to someone's house and the only story is "celebrity gets annoyed"
and "celebrity swears at us".

If only it was lawful for Freddie Starr to spray the whole lot of them
with manure.

Let's see how many will stand up to (even biased) scrutiny.

We can be pretty certain how many would not, if it were equal scrutiny.

at the time about Savile behavour. The policeman
in question brought it to the attention of his

I confess Nige, i was told this by someone
who read it in the mail.

I believe the article stated one of the nurses
were at Stoke mandeville. The nurses would comment
on who would be the 'chosen one' and told children
to pretend they were asleep. (though assuming the
claims that he was into necrophilia this would be
a bad idea)

The police man i believe is the same detective Newsnight
and Panoram hired to check the veracity of the
witnesses for the Newsnight story.

Criminally, this is not about Jimmy, he is gone - The Met have been
clear about that and unqualified statements of ***guilt*** (from all who
make it) are outrageous.

Civilly, I have little idea if he had wandering hands or not. I do know
that dead folk (estates) should never be able to be sued. Balance of
probability can never be 'measured' [sic], if the chief witness is
unavailable.

I do believe, that this is a coordinated attack, by a number of vested
interests (media and survivors, predominantly).
