Does having an "anonymous" pop at someone terminally ill make you feel
like a hard man or something?

If the internet ever gets regulated it will be due to the likes of

Kev. I am more than a little pissed off with your patronising and bullying
stance towards me. It might work with wee wimmin around you but it won't
work with me. but you know that now don't you? Hence your parting shot.

"Fair enough. People are judged by the company they keep..."

Let us leave that one for the moment and go back to this:

" I tell you what; print off that long list of Steve Firth quotes
(garnered, I point out again, over just a few weeks of posts)

I notice that when you made your long list, you omitted the following:

(or did it not show him in a bad enough light?)

" You constantly call me 'Walter Mitty" over my
career and experience which apparently you don't understand. You yelled
"Walter Mitty" at me for statements about my acting experience and then you
toddle off, find clips of me acting in a movie on national TV on You Tube,
mail the links to your chums and continue to call me "Walter Mitty". But
you're too fucking stupid to admit you were wrong in the first place.

""...you toddle off, find clips of me acting in a movie on national
TV on You Tube, mail the links to your chums...""

The obvious actions of someone with the commendable underlying character you
discuss here:

"Anyone can assume a civilised veneer. Nick Griffin is a master of
that. What is important is the underlying character

You are a bully and bod is sly and a whinger. To be honest neither of you
has a 'civilised veneer' Not even up to Griffin standards.

As you pointed out..."People are judged by the company they keep..." Quite
so and you two complement each other very well.

You are not a cop any longer although I am sure it pains you to realise that
no one has to jump when you bark.

Just be sure... this wee wumman won't!

But he has never (AFAIK) used offensive terminology on this newsgroup; he
has alway stated his own opinion (whether correct or not) in a perfectly

I second those views. I have disagreed with almost all of Kev's views
and opinions over the years, some more than others. But as you say he
has almost always presented his opinions in a perfectly polite manner
and he engages in honest debate. His intentions are good even if I
believe many are misguided - and I am quite certain that he is a far
better husband and father than the majority of men in the UK.

I also note that he is dealing with his dreadful situation with a
great deal of pragmatism, and has not become bitter or self-pitying
and nor is he complaining about the unfairness of it all. Kev is also
remaining sensible and true to his own principles despite such a
life-changing event. That attitude in the face of such adversedy
deserves *everyone's* respect. Kev and his family certainly have my
sincere sympathy.

Gloating about his condition is vile and obnoxious. I cannot
understand how anyone could have such a reaction, and can only assume
that they are making unthinking comments for the shock value, or in
the mistaken belief that it makes them appear "hard".

I will not and have not "gloated" over his condition. His health, well
being and everything about him is a matter of great indifference to me.
However I'm not going to change my opinion of a liar, libeller, stalker,
harasser and blackmailer just because he declares that he is ill. If he
wanted a reconciliation he was free to apologise for his actions. As it was
I'm told by others that his reaction after announcing he was ill was to
make a series of posts to Usenet in which he publicised personal
information about me and my wife, presumably thinking that his terminal
condition puts him beyond legal redress. He remains as contemptible as he
was when he started his stalking campaign.

Oh dear, you're not very good at this are you? It was Mrs T that introduced
the CPS as a means of restricting the power of an independent police force
and forgive me for pointing out the obvious but it was that prick brown that
de-regulated the banking industry and encouraged them to lend utterly
irresponsibly - although to be fair he a least put his mouth where our money
was and increased government debt to a level that we'll be lucky if our
children aren't still paying for it on their deathbeds (Mrs T left no
national debit)

Do you have any real points?

I was listening to LBC Radio on Saturday. There is a morning slot run by
Ken Livingstone and David Mellor. Mellor boasted that he introduced the CPS
as a way of ensuring that prosecution decisions were truly impartial and
objective and fair etc.

Mellor has, on other occasions, said on LBC that when he was Home Office
Minister and required to consider whether to agree the release on licence of
Myra Hindley he spoke to his loyal civil servant who was far more wise than
any judge or lawyer, and was assured that she was a wrong 'un and far worse
than Ian Brady, and on the strength of this, made his decision to block any
chance of her early release. That's probably an example of impartiality and
objectivity as seen by Mellor.

And no, I don't say that Hindley deserved to be released. Only that the
decisions that were made about her were made, in the main, by cowardly
politicians who were more concerned with winning elections than with doing
the right thing.

A very useful weapon when used against a bunch of thugs - who weren't
even given the option of voting on whether they wanted to strike or not
- and were too stupid to demand that right. Still, it would have been a
foretaste of what would have come if Commissar Scargill had got his way.
No rights for anyone except trade union bosses and their shock troops.

As would
> giving the banks free reign to do whatever they like. Both things that
> continue to have repercussions for this country to this day.

Yet the one who totally relaxed the regulatory controls on the banks was
Gordon Brown, whilst slipping his good old Scottish chum Sir Fred "The
Shred" Goodwin a knighthood for services to "banking" just before we
ended up with the greatest corporate loss in British history.

To blame someone who had left power twenty years earlier is, once more,
part of the mythology of the left. It's a bit like the claim that she
trashed British Industry, when the union movement had already done that
for her. THAT IS WHY SHE WAS ELECTED - it was to get rid of a Labour
Party whose primary concern was to feed trade union greed because they
were scared of losing their funding. As a direct result of those trade
union excesses and lack of democracy she was given a mandate for reform
- which she took. Has all that been rescinded in the last thirteen years
of Labour mis-rule? But look at what HAS happened to the Labour Party
since - the imposition of the biggest lame duck as their leader since
the days of the unelectable Michael Foot and the Welsh windbag Neil
Kinnock - BY THE TRADE UNION MOVEMENT and against the wishes of the
Parliamentary Labour Party. Stand aside democracy, the fascists of the
left are ready to march again.

The only problem with this, Silk, is that those who constantly revive old
posts, prove they don't have a brain cell of their own to share. Their only
talent is for searching:)) Pah, that is easy peasy, but to have an
original idea ... that takes brains:))

Now, I have my own grievances with kev but at least I will talk about them
directly, not drag up old stuff which might be out of date, because I don't
actually have anything new or pertinant to say:) <sigh> why do we have to
put up with this crap, and trust me, I have it in other groups too. There
can be no respect for such! Do you not realise how tedious it is to be
confronted with old , old, old posts???? Who the hell reads them??????? As

Then I suggest that your ability to use Google is lacking. Or perhaps
your earliest cut off date. I found the message in question relatively
easily. It confirms my opinion that Kevin Lunn is a cunt.

As did all the other messages from him that were turned up by the same
search such as his libellous claims that I have "ripped off" my
customers, his claims that my company was trading insolvently, his
claims that my company had been dormant for 8 years, his claims that my
company is worthless.

I found this gem:

"In view of the fact that one of those pieces of information was
concerning a person who claimed to have been ripped off by Firth
Consulting, I thought it might be interesting to learn more about the
firm he so often boasts about. I went to the Companies House website
and, as any member of the public is entitled to do, I paid a couple of
quid to download one or two of his firms returns. In fact, it turned out
that the firm had been dormant for eight years - and had declared assets
of £1... "

All of which is libel. The firm is not dormant and certainly has never
been dormant in its history for any period as long as 8 years. The
company has declared assets considerably in excess of £1 and it has
never had a dispute with any customer over services rendered and has
never been accused by any customer that they have been "ripped off".
Kevin Lunn's claims are lies without a single basis in fact.

In July 2011 he claimed (falsely) that my company had been removed from
Companies House. That was a a simple lie.

He claimed that my company had been dormant since 2007 (which is hard to
square with his other claim that the company had been dormant for eight
(or seven) years and as others pointed out the company that he referred
to had Simon Firth as a CEO, not I. When others pointed out, correctly,
that my company was not dormany Kevin Loon claimed that paying for a
report from Companies House would reveal the information that my company
was dormant. That was also a lie, but who would bother to pay for a
report to check?

You may go on thinking that the bloke is a saint, he's not. He's a nasty
blackmailing, lying cunt.

Ah yes, "I see no ships".

Not in this case. Someone correctly informed me that Kevin Lunn was posting
personal information (names and addresses) to Usenet.

> Please spend 5 mins in google groups and check for yourself.

I found the post in question in less than five minutes. I'm not giving a
reference to it since it does contain personal information. It is however
in existence, it was not posted to uk.legal but it was posted to another
group where I post regularly.

I'm bemused at the way that some here think that Kevin Lunn is a plaster
saint. He's a bully, a stalker and and an all-round creep. He had his mates
in the police investigate me with the hope he could turn up some dirt to
dish out. When I challenged him about it his line was that he hadn't
"investigated" me. He had just gone to his mates at Cheshire Constabulary
and asked them what they could find out about me. Same difference IMO.

And yet we can read on a daily basis about wicked bankers refusing to
lend money to unworthy businesses and individuals. Which way do you want
it? Should we go back to Gordon's highlights as Chancellor where he
opened the floodgates to this sort of stupidity?

Also, council houses were NOT "given away", and the chance to actually
own something was very, very popular with Labour voters. I'm so glad to
see you putting that down to unbridled greed.

You seem to be in an underclass all of your own.

The only real criteria nowadays other than for political offences that are

Wiki - what a cool source - what would you like it to say tomorrow? I'll
make the changes for you later, using wiki as a souce is usually counted as
a fail but I'm in a generous mood today.

I'll try to keep the words short as I know you're a bit thick, Mrs T - no
national debt, buoyant economy and public services spending wisely, The two
Mr "Bs" - greatest national debt ever, failed economy and public sector
spending being used to finance PFI projects to the detriment of the services
they are suppose to be providing. Two different governments you see.

Do you have a source for your claim that there was no national debt
during Mrs T's time?

http://www.ukpublicspending.co.uk/uk_debt
The top graph shows national debt (in absolute terms) increasing from
1979, though admittedly not as rapidly as in the two Mr "Bs" time.

'public services spending wisely' ? Maybe, but:
http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/danielhannan/100073858/commentators-blame-the-slowdown-on-spending-cuts-what-spending-cuts/
http://preview.tinyurl.com/3gzjetw
'Contrary to almost universal belief, public spending rose by 12 per
cent under Margaret Thatcher ....
'I am reminded, in some ways, of the 1980s. Government spending
expanded continuously during Margaret Thatcher's years in office, with
especially large increases in health and welfare (both up by 32 per
cent between 1979 and 1990) . But that's not how it is remembered.
Like therapists triggering a false childhood memory, our commentators
have succeeded in convincing us that the Eighties were a period of
vicious "Tory cuts".'

'buoyant economy'? Black Wednesday? There appeared to be considerable
economic growth during Mrs T's time, but arguably that was largely
based on growth in the financial services sector, which was not real
growth, but just increased turnover financed by increased borrowing
(or leveraging). Manufacturing declined during that time. The two Mr
"Bs" continued and accelerated that process, without realising it was
built on sand, but it started during Mrs T's time.

I agree about PFI projects though, that's effectively just dodgy off-
balance sheet accounting, attempting to hide public sector spending,
and an expensive way of doing it.

It is achicken and egg situation. If I recall correctly, Steve Firth
initiated it by saying he knew someone at the Chesire police station
that Kev operated from and accused Kev of being a desk sargeant.
So Steve was prying on Kev's history and publicising it.
I believe this was one of the reasons that Kev decided to delve into
Steve. I am not condoning what Kev did, just pointing this out.
Steve Firth has a history of aggravating posters on many a

Really

Yet you still won't publicly say that Kevin Lunn "is" a stalker.

Kevin Lunn is a Spammer and stalker who cannot admit he is in the wrong.

You are a serial spammer and troll.

I wonder why you have that tag !!

Why should he when he posted his response in uk.rec.driving

But time after time you and Lunn keep making attacks on him.And you
wonder why he reacts the way he does.

You and Lunn blamed him for being another poster, without any evidence
You and Lunn just cannot admit you are wrong.

Why do you YOU keep defending Lunn ??

Why do you keep Attacking Steve Firth ??

That is a complete and utter lie. Off you go, produce the evidence that you
claim supports your case.

If you define "a while back" as three weeks ago after launching yet another
bitter personal attack then you are right. How odd that a few hours ago you
were claiming that no such event had happened. Do you imagine that telling
enormous lies helps the situation?

It's a misplaced sense of "revenge" as far as I can see. Years ago he took
exception to my use of the term "fuckwit". I offered the opinion that he
probably goes apoplectic about Scunthorpe. Since then he's tried to enforce
his will on my choice of language. I won't obey his rules so he resorts to
increasingly desperate measures to silence me.

I suspect he genuinely believes the guff he posts. He doesn't, for example,
know the difference between share capital, turnover, profit, share dividend
and assets. He confuses all of them and then makes silly statements.

He's also convinced himself that my business must be "dodgy" so any line
fed to him by someone who echoes that sentiment *must* be true. He's
already stated that he didn't "research" the information that he posted, he
received it by email and repeated every word believing it to be true. Which
was frankly silly on his part.

Cost surely *ought to* play a significant part in the decision except
for the most serious of crimes? I am certain that most people would
balk at having to pay significantly more tax in order to ensure that
every litterbug is brought to justice, and everyone who mutters the
word "nigger" under his breath is hauled before a court and made to
explain himself.

I have never ever posted on usenet anything that included information
relating to Firth's address or any member of his family. If anyone is
claiming to the contrary then they are lying.

I have now killfiled Firth and so he and I have no further reason to
make any posts about each other. I am making a commitment now that I
will not post anything about Firth in the future, and will not respond
to anything that I read that he has posted if it is included in a
response by someone else. I suspect that it is too much to expect Firth
to respond in kind.
