The report that I read stated that this is an X-ray scanner (difficult to
see how else they could do it). They may be low energy X-rays (hence no
bones) but it is generally recommended that people should not be exposed to
X-rays unless absolutely necessary for clinical reasons.
I'm just waiting for when the authorities introduce compulsory body
cavity searches in light of explosives being hidden inside one's body.

Like docile sheep, the British public seem to take every conceivable
object the government shoves down their throat, so I see no reason why
they would more than bleat as they lose yet more freedoms.
Of course if in response to the terrorist atrocities, the modern world
used its aging surplus of nuclear warheads to teach the "bottoms-up" a
lesson they won't forget and put the fear of God into them, then I bet
we won't have an issue with bottoms-up terrorists anymore. If we do,
time for more nuclear tests...
Think about it this way. There are more than a billion moon
worshipping death cultists. Any one of them may go fanatical. Let's
say 1% of them have explosive tendencies. The solution to the problem
of course is to reduce the size of the denominator rather than the
size of the numerator. It is more easily done than the reverse.
Sure beats throwing the nukes away when they get replaced. What a
waste.
Open warfare with the death cultists shall surely prove through
natural selection that they belong to a backward religion best left to
history.

I would be surprised if it wasn't based on millimeter wave technology,
rather than X-rays (technologically ignorant press).

My understanding is that it's uses microwave frequencies, which are absorbed
by flesh and reflected by metallic objects.
I'm sure there'll be some willing to pay to watch children passing through.

Why not accept that the Western, American perspective on the world
isn't the only one, and stop annoying people who hold different
opinions?

Annoying people as in going to work in the WTC one morning?
Now there's a point. Wouldn't the images derived constitute chilp porn opn

I don't think they will be shoving any object down peoples throat but rather
the other end.

Anyone fancy starting a business selling foil lined underwear?
The most impartial and ultimate human authority on earth is the
battlefield.
Warfare considers the aggregate merit of the combatants in terms of
genetic heritage, social progress, technological advancement and
economic efficiency. Constant warfare is necessary to both ensure that
inferior genes and memes do not persist in the human population and
also to ensure that superior genes and memes rightfully inherit the
world's land and resources.
Death cultists think their religion is superior to everyone else and
seek to convert the world by votes or violence. Let us show them how
impotent their god truly is.

I'm sure there'll be a route for under 18's where they can't be frisked,

Amd in what way exactly did they, and I quote'. "ensure that superior
genes and memes rightfully inherit the world's land and resources"?
They lost an awful lot of people to no very good purpose.
They'd have been better served by surrendering and soaking up US cash.
Just by ensuring the security guard is always the opposite sex of the
passenger being examined the burkha brigade will be outraged.
So outraged they won’t be able to fly, job done, problem solved.
Obviously, the wider the scale on which natural selection is allowed
to operate on, the wider and more visible the effects.
The Vietnam war was basically a playground mud fight between two
superpowers; a small battle whose war of ideologies supposedly
concluded with the fall of the Communist Soviet Union into an
oligarchy. Even then, in this two bit cesspit, natural selection was
at work because statistically speaking, soldiers who were less
perceptive, intelligent or quick were removed from the gene pool.
Their superiors returned home, had children and passed on their
genes.
WW2 is an example of warfare selecting against the memes of Nazism and
oppression, and indeed the Cold War selecting against the memes of
Communism and oppression (until Labour came into power).
On a truly apocalyptic scale where everyone clashes, and not just the
best and brightest professional soldiers, then whoever remains will be
worthy inheritors of the spoils on a genetic and ideological level.
Warfare is essential for improving the human race.

The bastards are claiming that the dose is the same as from 20,000
dental x-rays. Huh! I'd rather have NO x-rays! Why does the dentist
always disappear behind a screen before pressing the button?
In any case, that's not my main gripe, which is that a British airport
now fully expects me to volunteer to be seen practically stark naked
by a complete stranger! This is mad. This is simply crazy. I have
absolutely nothing to hide, and my tired old body won't thrill many
either, but I find such personal intrusion that is becoming
commonplace nowadays to be utterly beyond the pale. And what is
voluntary today will become compulsory tomorrow. We know the way it
works in authoritarian Britain under New Labour!
I really do hope that there will be mass protests over the wider
implementation of these new scanners and I will most certainly avoid
booking flights from Manchester from now on.

Dateline 13th October 2039 The Daily Press:
"New research has shown that the millions of people who died suddenly
in the mid '20s had a particularly common genetic defect that
responded badly to millimeter wave technology."
MM
Nope. The people organising this shocking Big Brother tool must have
already thought of that one as they say the pics are not pornographic
or indecent.
MM
What about burka-clad Muslim women?
MM
Why should I? I'm *never* going to accept creationists' opinions, for
example. They're idiots.
MM
God, that's going to get REALLY slippery after a few hours on the
plane.
MM
Your point being? There will always be statistical outliers and
sampling errors. Who could have said that the next Einstein was lost
because of Thalidomide or an aborted pregnancy?
The significance of sampling error is reduced by increasing the sample
size. A most comprehensive programme to improve the human race's genes
and memes would be one of worldwide competition and conflict.
People must compete for access to medical technology, schools, food,
housing, water and so on. Only then will the best get what they
deserve, and the worst lose what they were never entitled to have.
Humanity flounders with weak people because we have allowed defective
genes and memes to persist, rather than to allow them to be culled by
natural selection.
N5
So you don't see him pulling his todger.

Who is forcing you to use air transportation? There's nothing
compulsory about it, you can choose another form of travel.

They'll have religious exception thus making the entire thing
pointless.
However, if not, they'll be far more useful at the arrivals gate

have to produce images in court. No image recording facilities my fkn

Annoying people by invading their countries (Afghanistan, Iraq).
Threatening to invade countries (Iran, and probably Pakistan shortly -
to 'help them stop terrorism'.)
Propping up failed states such as Israel - long after the cold war
excuse for supporting them has gone.

Why people fight wars, and I mean the people who get dirty rather then
the politicians who get us into them, is a very complicated question
indeed.
'Who dies' is even more complicated because it enters into the very
contentious area of 'why do people join armies'.
As a general rule junior officers are killed more often than any other
people in an army in combat and they do tend to be 'the brightest and
the best'.

If it were being used for medical reasons, then the risk might be
worth it. But this is being done for Big Brotherish reasons - or do
you honestly believe all the guff we are told about terrorism?
