Details:
Operating as part of a multi-disciplined team, your brief will cover
the design of electrical systems for naval vessels, working both to
commercial and naval standards.
This will include analysis, system development and specification,
material and trials specification in the following areas:
Power generation, distribution, conversion and storage.
Lighting, Cathodic Protection Deguassing Flight deck and hangar
electrical services.
Based in Southampton or Portsmouth but must be willing to take short
or medium term secondment (6 months - 3 years) in Bristol or Glasgow.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in an appropriate subject and
at least 2 years applicable experience.
Consideration will be given to candidates with HNC or similar combined
with considerable applicable experience.
CAD skills are not required.
Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in clear,
precise terms with clients and potential suppliers is essential.
