I think it might get more support if the DWP was more discerning over
who got it, and who didn't.

I once tried to help a disabled friend get DLA, but after 2 attempts I
gave up and got him a place in the Olympic 100 metres final, much easier.

The press, and Government, are always eager to show the occasional
con-men/women scroungers but seem less reluctant to show those in real
need as they struggle with daily life on very little money.
