Can anyone advise the details of any organisation in the UK that would offer
a analysis service of documents received from the North Lincolnshire Council
& local Envirmonent Agency, which apparently detail the concentrations of
contaminants at the Waters Edge
site at Barton On Humber (formerly known as the ICI/BritAg Fertiliser
factory until closure) which is soon to be reclaimed.

The land is badly contaminated and North Lincolnshire County Council is
proposing to remove 500,000 tonnes of contaminated/polluted soil to a nearby
Scunthorpe Quarry (Coninsbrough Quarry) by road for final disposal in clay
cells in the iron bed rock. The route they propose to use is through a
residential area, a Country Park and a lincolnshire Trust Nature Reserve
(Far Ings Nature Reserve) prior to leaving the village of Barton on Humber.

The contaminants include: Anthrax spores, Cyanide, Mercury, Cadmium,
Herbicides and Pesticides (as well as many more not heard of).

Anyone out there got any usefull telephone numbers or addreses that I can
use. Pleased to hear your comments.

PS.

How can they excavate, load, and unload this without spreading the spores ?

Sorry I cannot help with your first query. There is a new newsgroup you may
be interested in posting to:
