Hi.

On Monday I had a bit of a session with a friend. He's not huge or
anything, and this isn't my first time by a long list. We played safe
and used condoms and stuff. When someone fucks me I'm normally face
down, if you see what I mean.

This time I was face up, legs over head. As he did his thing I
noticed that it hurt but didn't say anything about it (bad idea, I
know) and he carried on.

Now it's Thhursday and my arse hurts really badly. It hurts inside
and I think, after looking at some anatomy photos, I've bruised my
prostate. I'm 27 and never had any prostate problems but I'm pretty
sure it got poked quite a bit which is why it hurt at the time.

I ache, I really ache. My cock works as well as it usually does and I
can (painfully) do a number 2.

If I have bruised my prostate what can a GP do about it? Is there any
thing I can do to relieve the pain? How long is this pain going to
last?

Please do not make the assumption that your diagnosis is correct. There
are a variety of other possibilities such as appendicitis and the really
sensible thing to do would be to go and have a health professional tell
you what the problem is.

If you are coy about telling your GP about your sex life then just tell
him about the pain and let him produce his diagnosis.

From my own experience in the area. I don't think bruising of the
prostate is a likely scenario, even if your friend is a pornstar
candidate. Many of us use a variety of toys and an intense technique
without this kind of problem. And tomorrow we are ready to go again.

Doug was brilliant in his post, but I would just take Monday morning
off sick and go to a Sexual Health Clinic, Monday morning is always
busy at the clinic many need appointments, but not all the nice folk
at the sexual health helpline will give you your local clinic
details: 0800 567 123

All the best

Again, another to back up that suggestion. It's really not worth taking
a chance and "hoping" you are right.

Earlier this year I had a health scare, and I assumed I had the Big TC.
Sure, going and having your bits fiddled with by a doctor isn't the
nicest experience in the world, but it's a lot better than not knowing.

And taking into account the christmas period coming up, if they do need
to do tests, I'm sure you'd rather them do them now and get the results
before crimbo than worry about it over the holidays.

Thanks to everyone who replied.

It was getting worse the longer I left it so on Friday I called my GP
and as they were full they got a doctor to call me for a Triage
Appointment. He said I was too young to be having prostate problems
and asked me why I thought I might have them so I fessed up and he
said "So, was it a bit of a rough session or do you think the angle of
insertion was the cause?"

Anyway, he saw me after work and said it wasn't worth having a 'poke
around' as he suspected he'd find it was just a swelling prostate
which he said I'd probably bruised.

He prescribed me a two week course of antibiotics incase there was any
infection, told me to drink plenty of water and take ibuprofen if
required and, I quote, "knock one out twice a day."

It hasn't got any worse since then but I still know something is wrong
down there. When I stand up for any period of time it feels like I've
got a golf ball shoved up my arse and I have to sit down slowly. He
said if it got worse or I had any additional worries to make an
appointment and he'd have a look around, and if it hasn't got better
in two weeks to come back anyway.

When I used to sell health insurance I remember a large number of
older gentleman having been diagnosed with enlarged prostates and the
like and never thought anything of it, but whenever I hear it in
future I will agree that prostate problems are awful and whince
accordingly.

It sounds as if it could be a bruised muscle or some such. If the
discomfort continues, or if in any doubt at all, try to get to a GU
clinic where the experience and particular expertise is much more likely
to be available.
