WHy would I buy Halo2, it's just like Halo1, another FPS.
I've heard about this Ex-Box thing, appearently they sold a few thousand
of them to some die-hard Americans who prefer patriotism over the

Indeed.
So how about the dodgy framerate that draws in cars way too late (imo - and
especially on missions where care on the road is essential). The stutter is
pronounced at times where there was none in VC. The graphics aren't very
impreesive.
I've had instances where i've used the pay and spray and then my car
exploded after it was repaired whilst in the garage. Falling through objects
on the screen.The shocking lock on system (look directly at your target and
watch CJ aim at something 90 degree to his left!). Rubbish ai - when trying
to do the misson with Catalina stealing the tanker I had kittens trying to
get her into the damn rig). The AI is in general appalling - every other
road user doesnt stop or give way. The police are laughable - they jump out
in front of you and drive into you and then cause you to get wanted stars.
Characters who also get caught in loops where they walk around in circles
(as happened with one of the security gaurds in Mad Dogg's mansion; i had to
reload). I have been run over by my own car (inertia is a wonderful thing)
and unable to get up again causing me to reload.
On top of that, the city is uninspiring and flat. The countryside is an
interesting addition but is a nightmare to navigate. It is so easy to slip
off a vast cliff or into a river you can't see easily. The map is next to
useless (especially the minimap) and some of the missions are just stupid
(dating? WTF for!).
I have played it for two weeks and am bored stiff; it's only popular because
people enjoy games (ie kids - i have never seen anyone actually buy the game
who was old enough) with all the cop killing mayhem that GTA has. Really if
that wasn't available or was toned down (such as with Drv3r or True Crimes)
it wouldn't be half as popular.
Vice City was far better. SA is just boring.
