I can see there is a little launch star to the right of the two taps
just below the level where you meat Baron Brr, but I can't get to it.
I've tried jumping up the taps as ice mario, and I've tried jumping
off the wall at the top to the right of Baron Brr and sliding down the
ice, but I cant seem to get far enough right. Is there a trick to
this? I can see there is something in the distance to the right of the
Baron so I presume that't the hidden star or at least a route to it

You need to do a triple jump to make it up that high (as ice mario).
It took me a few attempts to get it....
Good luck!

I spent about an hour trying and failing last night. one jump before
the first tap, then two on the first and super jump on the second?

Don't bother with the water spouts. Stand near the wall on the right, and
face left. Crouch-backflip, and spin near the top of the jump. Now wall-jump,
spin, and aim for the ledge.

I know the bit you mean but I can't quite remember how I did it. Have
you tried doing a spin after your triple jump to get a little extra
height?

I did similar to this, but I stood on the top water spout, did a back
flip towards the ledge and then did a spin to get up high enough.

By no means easy though.

Got up there last night. I couldnt do it using a triple jump on the
frozen spouts, but got up there with a backflip and a bit of wall
climbing and spinning.

And it was worth it too. The climb to the peak was actually reasonably
hard, unlike most levels of this game which seem to be just a matter
of getting to the end of the course.

I also enjoyed the three green star galaxies, the ball rolling one
took me a bit of practice!

Seems like this is the star I was missing from here. I'll have to try and
get it sometime.
I completed the game with 80 Stars found and will go back sometime and try
to get the rest. I do know where some of them are, just getting them is a
bugger!
Im currently playing Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, the first time I've
played a GC game on the Wii. Very good game it is too...:-)
