I saw an ad for something called "Moon Tycoon" the other day - will
that do you?

100% "ChrisM" <ch...@someplace.co>!

If you haven't got Vega$: Make It Big, that's worth having. By the same
guys as Beach Life.

I'm on the lookout too. Sadly many of them are going 3D now and I've yet to
experience a non-fixed 3D game of this type that actually works better than
isometric yet. Beach Life and Rollercoaster Tycoon have been my favourites
in recent years. Bought Sim City 4 but even with half a gig of ram I
couldn't build a big city without the game crawling quite painfully. Just
got myself Zoo Tycoon Complete Collection (with Dino Digs, Endangered
Species and Marine Mania) from J&R for £12, its not ground breaking but its
not bad either, always wanted it but got put off by the price as it was
always bordering on £40 with the extra add-ons here in the UK.

Sadly the sequel to Zoo is going 3D, so I would expect nothing less than all
those shite Tower/Ski Resort/Airport/Aquarium Tycoon games that are
everywhere, cheap, and pants...

The only up and coming one I know of is The Movies, I'm sure there was a
game similar to Beach Life on its way ages ago but I haven't seen anything
crop up yet.

Chris.

I saw a game in GamesTM which I think was called Evil Genius, it lets you
manage your own evil empire like a Bond villain. Sounded quite good in the
short preview.

the 3d ones really do suck bad dont they. i havent got rollercoaster tycoon
2, its being rereleased cheaper soon so will probably get it then.

there is a sealife one that the team behind beachlife made but it only got
released in the states, and apparently is fairly average. id love a theme
hospital style game (the look, the quality and the humour) based in a shop,
that would be great.

Yeah we seen that in J&R, based around SeaWorld, looked nice enough but it
also seemed like more of a cash-in with Sea World than a complete game, I
ended up choosing Zoo Tycoon Complete Edition as it was cheaper and has a
hell of a lot more to it.
