I suppose the Megadrive version would do if it's similar (or indeed if there
are any other versions at all) but it still wouldn't be quite the same, and
I'm sure I tried that avenue before and the rom didn't work.

Last version I played was the PC one. Had to use Speaker sound effects
myself.

I seem to remember this game having trouble working on anything but an
A500, so you might want to try UAE with a Kickstart 1.3 ROM, 512K chip
RAM, 512k slow RAM, the OCS chipset and the 68000 CPU setting with the
"more compatible" option enabled.

LOL! Is it any wonder I gave up on Amiga emulation? :-)

Pff, when I started using UAE it had no user interface at all and you
had to specify all the options from the command line, which sometimes
wasn't long enough to load the disk image or mount whatever hard
drives you wanted.
YOU'VE NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD etc.

From what I remember, the Megadrive version is more or less identical to
the Amiga version (complete with amusing speech). Although it was actually
released under a different name on the Megadrive because of an existing
game with the same name. I can never remember what the renamed version
was, so I can never seem to find the ROM of it!

taken from a megadrive guide i've got
NAME: Tyrants - Fight Through Time
AUTHOR/VENDOR: Sensible Software/Renegade/Virgin Games
RELEASED: 1992
TYPE: Strategy
LANGUAGE: English and French
PREMISE: This is a strategy game rather like Populous or perhaps
The Settlers. It involves resource management and
development, then finally - on each level - the
conquering of the other civilizations on the island.
(Steve Sharp)
IMPRESSIONS: A refreshingly different take on the "god" genre that is
lots of fun to play. (Steve Sharp)
VARIATIONS: Mega-Lo-Mania (all non-American markets)
However, I've just won a Neo Geo Pocket Colour on eBay.

What's the film....(yes, I know where IMDB is too)
Actually, I used to use DOS Fellow for my Amiga emulation. I hated the
crackly sound of UAE (unless they've fixed that now).
