It should have 4. It should come in 2 normal DC cases both in a cardboard
Shenmue box that holds both. Who you get it off?

Got it from Woolworths. I've still got the receipt, I will take a trip there
on Monday I think.

You can't blame Blockbusters. My local store started out with all
the new DC titles but I never saw any of them ever hired out apart
from the one I was getting, So in their eyes it's a totally profitless
endeavour hiring DC titles and the general public/Sega advertising
is mostly to blame.

What's this post doing here - erm!

So it IS only pirates who rent things (and me of course!)

Nah - I've read HUNDREDS of posts where people talk about 'rented it and
tried it' - but my local BB seemed to give up on the DC too early - long
before the DC had a decent market penetration.

Some other BBs seem to have a few more titles - but not a huge range...

What I reckon is that the DC sells to people who USED to buy consoles - the
gamers - and not so well to the 'new recruits' who were persuaded, mostly by
Sony, that games were not 'sad', 'geeky' or 'childish' (apparently!) - and
they're all VERY loyal to Sony...

Which is their loss...

I agree, anyone who knows there PSX from ther N64 would buy a Dreamcast but
the "casual gamer" relies on advertisements to determine there path!! thats
why the PS2 will sell (if there was any to sell!!!!!)

Did anyone get the limited edition with the 5th disc? Is it, as I heard, the
soundtrack CD?

I didn't get a fifth disc :(

Will the soundtrack be released separately? All replies pointing me @
Napster will be thrown in the trash - it'd be pointless as I don't have a
burner, and music THIS good is worth paying for anyway.

Looks like Woolworths got confused by the double-pack, given that each
case (at first glance) looks identical. The sales assistant probably
just assumed it was one case.

Indeed its their loss but sadly also ours due to BBs ignorance.
My local BB is crap for DVD too, not quite as bad as DC games but still very
poor.
I spent months asking about one particular film and they never heard of it even
though
eventually they got it on VHS but not on DVD - they got it WELL after the
release date
however. I had no intrest in renting the VHS so thats my custom they lost.
And there MUST be most people with DVD near me than DCs, there always seems to
be
someone looking at the DVDs when I go in - which isnt very often.

At least it's not as bad as the N64 situation, Torquay Blockbuster has about
10 N64 games to rent, and 3 of them are Perfect Dark.

In the UK it comes with four. Three game discs and a 'passport' disc of
extras and internet access etc.

I thought the soundtracks were all on the passport disc. There are 'theatre'
and 'music' options on it which allow you to play all the tracks from the
game.

Hmm. I'd always thought that the first batch of Shenmue's sent into the
country would be a limited edition 5 disc set, and the fifth disc was the CD
soundtrack for sticking in your stereo. Did anyone get this set? 'cos even
though I got it sent early by Simplygames, I was outta luck. :(

But you're right, all the tracks and movies are on the Passport disc, but I
wouldn't imagine you can whack that in your CD player? Can you?

On another note, my brother and I finished working through the game this
afternoon. WHAT a game. My PC was going green with envy ;)
