Kooba makes some of the most beautiful handbags. The leather is so soft and thick, I just want to touch and squeeze it! So you can probably understand my surprise when I stumbled upon the piece you see pictured here. Introducing the Kooba Bethenny Clutch!
I know it is hard to believe, but yes this little box clutch is from Kooba. It is so different from anything I have seen from this designer. Kooba doesn’t make a lot of clutches and certainly not box clutches. What I find fascinating is that the Kooba Bethenny Clutch is made of two pieces of hollowed out wood. What I like about this clutch is that it is padauk-style wood. It has that great look of tropical wood, but it isn’t environmentally unfriendly. I also like the look of the textured leather flap closure. I especially love the way the peach croc print contrasts with the dark wood grain. There’s just something about that combination that I find very attractive. Plus the pretty purple lining adds a sweet little surprise inside and the optional chain cross body strap adds a little bit of versatility.
