Some of you may know the board game "221 b Baker Street - the master
detective game" by Gibson's Games which is sold e.g. in the souvenir
shop of the Sherlock Holmes museum in London. There are two versions,
a pocket-sized one with 20 cases and a larger one with 40 cases. In
the booklet which came with latter, it was stated that one could purchase
additional cases (i.e. several case cards and a booklet with clues and
solutions). However, when I wrote to Gibson's Games earlier this year,
they answered that these additional cases were out of stock, were not
being reprinted due to lack of demand (which I doubt a bit), and they
did not know where one could still obtain them from.

Would anybody who reads this newsgroup know a source for additional
cases for this game, or could point me to some more appropriate place
to ask?

First place to try would be www.ebay.com

Here's a link to one of the completed auctions.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1745178807

I believe that there were a total of 3 sets published for the Gibson edition
and 9 for the Hansen games edition. I think they're compatible.

The ones shown on the auction page of the link above is a version I hadn't
seen before, perhaps the Gibson version. The ones I'm familiar with have
much paler colors on the cover.

There don't appear to be any up for sale currently on eBay.

Be sure to check all the listings for the actual board game, of which there
always quite a few being sold. Some sellers will be including one or more of
the expansions with the game.

There are also any number of websites selling vintage, out-of-print games.
www.finegames.com has expansion sets 2 to 9 for the Hansen edition edition
listed.

Try also www.dantiques.com and www.boardgamegeek.com

Given that they are out of stock with Gibson games, I don't know whether these
guys would still have them - they are still up on their web page though.

I'm sure a short time spent on google would provide more options.

we are fun of that game, i live in argentina, so its merely impossible to have any expansions ever published here. Ill appreciate very much if anyone that already have the copies, publish them online. I know its berely legal, but there´s no availability.
