Br�de is decidedly much more fun than Backgammon. It is an old Swedish
variant. A game was found aboard the ship Vasa that sank in 1628. The
Swedish rules have similarities with the rules that were established in
German speaking countries in late Middle Ages. However, the Swedish
rules differ in some important respects. Characteristic of Swedish Br�de
is the radical changes that can occur after one throw. A winning
position can sometimes turn into a lost position. Lars Wivallius, writes
about the game in his poem from 1631.
