Can someone recommend an Indian restaurant, preferably vegetarian, in
central London with comfortable and reasonably private bookable booths for
two people. Food and service at least reasonably well recommended.

Diwana on Drummond Street would be fine for the food, but the seating is
notoriously uncomfortable (which rules it straight out) and the service is
not wonderful.

I didn't realise it'd be so hard to find a restaurant meeting the criteria
online, and I'll be grateful for any help with this!

Thanks in advance!

Harry

I always use trip advisor and have rarely been let down.

Thanks David! Trip Advisor seems like a good site, with the vast majority
of reviews genuine. Shame they haven't got a tag for 'booth seating' or
'intimate'. The nearest they've got seems to be 'romantic', which can mean
candles and photos of Venice and stuff and not necessarily private tables.
All I'm after is somewhere I and a friend can natter privately to our
hearts' content on a Saturday night eating reasonably good Indian food
without being overheard :-) Not much to ask, but proving difficult to
find...
