Up here you pay ten pounds to get in, for which you get a glass
(non-returnable) and a fiver in token, which unfortunately isn't
enough to buy yourself two pints of anything.
I have raised this once or twice with the organisers because I think
it creates a slight impression of a bit of a money-grab. Even if one
is likely to spent a tenner or more in the course of a night I think
people want to choose how to do that. Your prices sound much more
reasonable, but then Lancaster is something of an anomaly for its
prices, which for some reason are higher than neighbouring towns.
