Around Manchester they seem to have a lot of influence. Several Spoon's
recently banded together to run a Local Ales Festival, featuring many
fine beers from Manchester's many fine micro breweries.
As far as I can make out, the only rule is that the invoices absolutely
must go to Wetherspoon High Command in Watford.
By the way, if any readers have got some CAMRA vouchers to use in
Spoon's, do note that the "Autumn" ones expire on Friday 4th December,
and not the end of the month as earlier ones. And for that matter, the
"Winter" ones are valid from 3rd January to 31st March 2010. In other
words, they're not valid over Christmas and New Year.

disgusting name that I won't repeat here.

I'd heard that beer was on the turning.
Excuse the awful Margaret Thatcher related word play! - "the lady's
not for turning" & all that - the beer which Ken dare not speak its
name is Bateman's 'Iron Lady' - named in honour of one of
Lincolnshire's proudest(!) daughters.
