Hello

I had a electric steamer for Christmas, but it came with only a few very
basic timings & recipes. Can anyone suggest some favourite steam cooking
recipes or recommend a good book for steam cooking.

Thanks

Sarah Bennett

I was in a bookstore today and saw a paperback book-'Steaming' by Annette
Yates. I scribbled down some notes, as follows :- rrp £3.99p published by
Elliot Right Way for more see www.right-way.co.uk
Approx 100 pages of recipes covering fish, poultry, meat, couscous, veg,
pasta, puds, fruit, parcels and wraps.
I don't know if 'Steaming' is any good, but Yates' The Blender Book (also
paperback) is very good.

Hi
I have got a copy of the book Paul was referring to, it really is very good.
It gives all sorts of guidelines, like how and what, as well as recipes for
things I hadn't thought about steaming. I bought mine in a store called
County Books in Bristol but I think they have been taken over by someone, I
can't be sure who because I now live in Preston and they don't appear up
here as far as I can tell.

Thank you both for your help! I've just ordered it from Amazon.
Hopefully I'll learn to do more than green beans, corn on the cob, carrotts
and broccoli (however I arrange or layer the veg the broccoli still goes a
slight orange colour if I cook carrots at the same time!)
