The Croydon Canal - Exhibition & Lecture

A new exhibition on The Croydon canal has started at London canal
Museum and runs until 26th March 2000. Centrepiece of the exhibition
is a tape-slide presentation on video and there is accompanying text
and pictures tracing the route and story of the Croydon Canal which
closed in the 1830's.
To accompany the exhibition there is a lecture by David Delaney on 6th
January at 7.30 pm on the same topic. Unising two projectors this
promises to be a very interesting and slightly different lecture which
will bring the subject to life.
As usual there will be refreshments beforehand and the museum shop
will be open.
Admission to the museum, which is open daily this week including 3rd
January, is £2.50 (concessions £1.25).
