BBC Scotland News this evening had an item on deer, stating that the
estimated 750,000 in the country are doing serious damage to native
habitats and particularly woodland. This claim didn't come from a
conservation organisation but from the experts, namely the Forestry
Commission. And how right they are as anyone with their eyes open out in
the Scottish countryside must inevitably realise.

Malcolm, there's space in my freezer if you'd like to send some my way!

No problem; we have two freezers. I agree, though, there are far too
many. Apart from the environmental damage, they are responsible for road
accidents.

Can I have some? If we have deer over-running the country how come Tesco
aren't selling it off cheap? Iceland can sell it to me as steak at 50p a
Kilo if they want. :-)

Too many humans is the real problem and too many chancers posing as
"experts".
