I am a student at Edge Hill University College in North-West
England. Over the past 8 months I have been working single handedly to put
a disk together to help people find schools partners etc. The disk has
just recently gone on sale. The charge I am having to make is to try and
recover my expendature in putting this disk together. Hopefully this disk
will be a success and future editions will be bigger and better and
cheaper. More informtion and comments from various people are available at
my web site at http://www.jokak.demon.co.uk/database.html
The database disk provides over 500 details on institutions from all over
the world (schools, colleges and universities). The details include
information about the institution, a contact name and email address. This
database is organised under countries. As well as my database three
companies/organisations have given me permission to include their web pages
on my disk. These are:-
Aussies.com.au - These give over 300 links to institutions from all over
Australia, organised under the different states. When you have found a
school you are interested in, you only then need to logon to the internet
to access the schools homepage.
CWA - The New Zealand network - These give over 200 email addresses of
primary and secondary institutions in New Zealand.
The Electronic School Book - Over 400 email addresses of schools in South
Africa, organised under the different provinces.
This database provides you with hundreds of contacts for organising key
pals, links for projects etc.
As well as the database there is a teacher and educator database. These
give details on teachers from all over the world, including email address.
They are organised under the subject area they teach. Over 200 details are
included on the disk.
Also there are numerous links to a selection of web pages organised under
categories, along with descriptions. A list of organisations and a varied
selection of over 250 listservs, which includes a descritpion about the
list.
If you can't find something you are looking for on the disk, I have also
provided direct links to pages on the internet that will give you even more
information. These include links to:-
A searchable database of over 4000 colleges and universities around the world.
Web66 - The largest collection of institution homepages organised under
countries.
A searchable database of thousands of listservs on every subject mentionable.
A searchable database of over 3,000 teachers and educators from around the
world.
plus much more.
This disk is searchable using your web browser offline. Only when you have
found what you are looking for, (ie, a school homepage) do you need to log
onto the internet.
The cost of the disk is 15 pounds Sterling (which includes postage and
packing), plus 5 pounds for every copy thereafter. Both Mac and PC
versions are available. I can accept payment in your own currency but I
would have to charge an extra 2 pounds.

Your sincerely,
Andrew Kenyon
