Remember those neigbours of mine, the ones that put that scaffild pole based
lamp post at the end of the drive so i cant get my motorhome out,

they didnt put it there to stop me getting my van out it seems, they put it
there so they could tie a rope to it and the wall on the other side of their
drive, and hang a sign saying 'no trick or treaters' off the rope!!!!

fair enough i thought when i saw it, not everyone wants kids knocking on the
door all the time demanding sweets, but most people put the sign on their
door, maybe next door are so anal about their drive now they can't bear the
thought of a few kids walking up it to read a sign on the door.

But what really got me was... i've just got back in from walking the dog,
twats are letting fireworks off so she's shitting her self, i stop at the
end of the next road along to try and calm her down, and i see 2 adults with
a young kid going from house to house, kid is dressed up as a witch, they
are trick or treating,

can you guess who it was yet??

yup, those same neigbours who dont want kids begging for sweets off them are
only too happy to do it them selves.

the sign is still on the rope at their house, and untill half an hour ago
they were in,
i'm not going to do owt, but i am sorely tempted to egg their house and
pretend it was some disgruntled trick or treaters who didnt like their sign,
or maybe change the sign for one that reads 'beware of the misearble cunts'

Around my way someone would have soaked it in paraffin and set fire to

damn, i'm out of parafin, but it'd make a pretty candle i rekon, go with all
the rockets the twats are letting off atm.

i wish they had used chain, then i could have welded it to the pole whilst
they were out begging for sweets,
maybe a dribble of superglue on the knots would be an idea.

Round our way, if you are welcoming T or T -ers you put out a pumpkin or
somesuch Halloweeny decoration, and the other houses are left alone.
Seems to be observed even by the teenagers.

We had about 8 groups of well-mannered trick or treaters tonight.

Then someone appears to have sprayed(?) hairspray(?) / paraffin(?)
into our large gatepost pumpkin to "blow shit up"(tm). Impressive
flare, we saw it from the house, but the pumpkin survived. I'm just
hoping that their shellsuit caught light and there's a scorched chav
somewhere, face down in the rhene and smouldering slightly.

The (probably) teenage skeleton that called last night did not look
impressed when I tossed a Tesco Value 'Penguin' biscuit into his
bucket.

Next year I shall try to remember to put a dummy on the hall floor,
have a wire to pull the front door open unseen and another wire to
roll the head of the dummy onto the floor. I can trip the close lights
remotely too so it all goes completely dark.

Same here. Them were't days.

If/when I can be bothered to answer the door and they ask 'trick or

I suspect "local council" would work better. Planners usually take a dim

I can't work out why he thinks he should be able to drive over his
neighbours property in the first place.

He would be in real trouble if he moved here as there are restrictive
covenants that say you can't park on the road and you can't park anything
that doesn't fit in the garage on your drive.

It stops people having monstrosities like mobile homes all over the place.

I have to agree.

Even on the basis of his own description of how he has behaved, he is
the neighbour from Hell. I suspect the whole truth would paint an
even worse picture.

It would be interesting to have the neighbours' viewpoint. I feel
quite sorry for them.

Well I am a miserable bastard and I do not want to be bothered by loads of
kids that I do not know asking me for money/sweets etc.

So on Halloween I just piss off down to the pub as soon as it gets dark.

And people who light fireworks are not twats.

I was at a party last night that had a fancy dress competition. One
guy's daughter is a make-up artiste, and she did him with a rather good
white face, blacked out eyes, and some green blotches. He'd just put on
the black cape and picked up his axe ready to go to the party when the
doorbell rang.

Apparently he got a real scream from one of the kids!

I think a neighbour who believes he has a right to drive his motorhome
(or any other large vehicle) over your land without your permission
comes very firmly into the c**t category.

Thankfully, while I have had some anti-social neighbours over the
years, I have never had anyone as a neighbour who showed such complete
disregard for reasonable behaviour - and then had the cheek to post
about it as though he was in the right. Breathtaking cheek!

And then they changed their minds when the OP upset them in someway.
Now he want revenge.
The OP says its because they think he is a sponger but we only have his word
for that.
Personally I wouldn't trust a stranger that came along saying he wanted to
get even on his neighbour, no more than I would help a stranger in a pub get
even on a passerby.

Also he has almost certainly made it very difficult to sell their house if
he has parked a big ugly motorhome on his front garden as he says he has. It
has probably reduced the price they can get by several thousands.

I would love to see some pictures of what has actually been done by both
parties.

yup, and if the neigbours had done that, or even just put the rope and sign
up, i have no problem with it, why should i, they dont want kids begging for
sweets,

but when they them selves do exactly what they dont want happenign to them,
that's taking the piss a bit.

a bilt like a jehovah's witness who spends every waking hour knocking on
doors asking if they want to join his religion, but he has a sign on his own
doors saying 'no god botherers'

> And people who light fireworks are not twats.

rockets are supposed to be fired up into the sky, not accross the cricket
pitch where everyone walks their dogs down the lane (and 99% of them pick
the dog shit up too, the shit bin is always overflowing so many actuall do
it)

i've no problem with fireworks, but they are supposed to be let off on the
5th of november and new year, with the odd display for a wedding, big
birthday etc, i.e. displays, official organised ones of the one for the kids
in the back garden,

whats not on is twats walking down the street with a pack of rockets and a
lighter, and firing them off as they go,
the thing that seems popular this year round here is sticking a rocket's
stick firmly in the ground, lighting it and running, the idea being to stop
it taking to the sky, so it explodes at ground level,

if those sorts of people arent twats, i dunno what type are.

re: the origional thing with the neigbours, yes i did have permission off
them to take the rear wheels of my motorhome accross the end of their drive
when i needed to get in and out of my own drive, as is typical with most
motorhomes, mine is used maybe 4 or 5 times a year, so it would go over
their drive upto 10 times in a year (once to get out, once to get back in)
and it was the very very end corner of the drive, the drive is about 45 foot
long, by about 16 foot wide, split down the middle giving us an 8 foot wide
drive each,
i had to take the rear wheels over the last 2 foot length by 4 foot width of
their drive, as i parked the van paralell to the front railings that run
along the pavement, and cant swing out sooner because of the railings.

they decided to retract that permision 2 months after i last drove over
their drive end, but instead of telling me they would prefer it if i didnt
do it anymore, they erected a scaffold pole at the part of the drive i had
to drive over,
would have been nice to have even been told they were doing it so i could
have got the motorhome out and parked it on the road, but they put the pole
in trapping the motorhome in,

Then you've never lived gazz. Firing rockets like bazookas was great fun
(and the norm) when I was a kid back before even jesus christ came on the
scene!

Should have though of that possibility before moving the thing in the
drive - or have had a plan b to get it out!

Any chance now of giving this subject a rest - it's getting boring on
reading one side of the story. For all we know, you may just as big a

The standard deal here in the US is that you leave the porch light on if
you're welcoming T&Ters, and turn it off otherwise. Didn't see any
incidents of "foul play" either - oddly, the whole thing seems a lot more
civilised than it ever did in the UK.

Maybe - and that's within their right, of course. But from what I remember
of the thread, they didn't *tell* him they'd changed their minds, they
just stuck a post in the ground such that he could no longer get his
vehicle out, even though he would have been happy to do so and sort out
alternative storage for it.

*that's* what makes them a bunch of utter fuckwits.

Well I don't recall him saying they did it without warning and I don't
recall him saying he could arrange alternative storage either.
He did say he could get it out by removing his wall and driving across his

well i deffo wouldent have deliberately left the van on the drive to be
blocked in would i??

and i've always had alternative storage, at my parents house, which is where
it's always been stored when i was not using it,
the only reason it stayed at my home so long is our bouler in the house was
fubar'd, we had a dodgy managment company who were not doing owt to replace
it, so our only source of hot water was the motorhome (didnt even own a
kettle then, do now but dont drink tea and coffee so it was only ever used
to heat water when i couldent be arsed going and getting a bowl of water
from the motorhome)
also as our shower is mains fed directly off the combi boiler, the motorhome
was our source of a shower without driving 20 or 50 minutes to our parents,

nextdoor put the post in place 2 days after we finaly got our boiler fixed
(and they spent the entire time curtian twitching as the blokes were
installing the new boiler, as it was moved upstairs, so new holes drilled in
the wall), i had planned to keep the motorhome here for a little while
longer so i could do a bit of maintinance on it, but then take it back to my
parents place for winter storage,

next door also knew our boiler was broke in the first place, as the first
bloke to come and look at it when to their house by mistake, a few days
later nextdoor asked me if we'd got the boiler fixed, so i told em that we
were having probs with the managment company, they asked how we coped for
showers, so i told em the motorhome is totally self contained for heating,
hot water, electricity and so on, so we use that,

November.

You need to be careful with your neighbours. I have spent many a night in
the cells after a punch up with the cunts that lived next to me.

I tried to have them evicted (council tenants) but it is difficult. In the
end I was told that if I was able to put the neighbours in fear of living
next to me the council would move them. 6 weeks into my plan the neighbours
were gone.

I have no doubt that you would.
You have a violent streak and then blame others for your problem.

In the event of a fight I will do whatever it takes to end it.
There would be a serious threat to life and limb before I fought any one and
I would behave as if there were.
You on the other hand appear to just want to fight and appear to believe its

But you have said you would punch a woman and I have said I would not.

You said, (do you object to me quoting your messages?) when asked if you
would punch a woman in the face?

"They are equals so yes if necessary"

Therefore you admit that you would punch a woman in the face

I am quite certain a small group of women would object to my statement that
"it is a fact that physically women are not equal to men"

They are not likely to be the sort of woman that I would want to shag.
