I would like to leave a review on a product on www.toolstation.com

I have created an account and am logged in. I can see other peoples
reviews on the product, but I can't see where I add my own review.

If I need to download an "app" to do this, I'm not interested.

TIA

You need to buy it before you can review it.

I bought two of them. Mouse traps. They caught seven of the little blighters in two days. I've got their mug-shots.

I made the "mistake" of buying them from the local sales counter 300 meters away.

If you buy things using a "trolley code" or click'n'collect they end-up
as purhases on your account.

I have exactly the same problem. I can't see where to add my own review. It's the same on Firefox & Chrome.

I was invited to leave a review for this Downpipe clip.

https://www.toolstation.com/68mm-downpipe-clip/p98710

After 4 days of moderation (presumably) they published it:-

It's fantastic, it holds the 68mm downpipe in position perfectly, but be
warned, you do need to actually screw it (screws are not included BTW)
to the wall for it to work effectively.

I see two problem with that system:

1 Any customer who leaves a few critical reviews might not be invited to post any more reviews. After all, we have no proof the selection is entirely random.

2 I've never been asked to review anything, despite having over 40 orders on my account. Never a problem with the main competing company.

I've seen this written about facebook reviews on company pages. Write a
negative review and two things happen.
i) the negative review is removed
ii) the poster is blocked from posting to the page.

However I would always treat anything to do with any product advertised
or promoted nationally on facebook with a great deal of suspicion. Many
are borderline scams or snake oil products sold expensively.

The lifetime of any political organisation is about three years before
its been subverted by the people it tried to warn you about.

Anon.

Local facebook community groups are usually OK.

You can generally spot those a mile off. There is a good old saying, if
it looks too good to be true it probably is.

I have bought a few things off Facebook Marketplace and been quite happy
with the items I bought. But they have been from local people and cash
on collection.

YMMV

Yeah, he is completely rabid, as usual.

Corse this is the fool that proclaimed that if the UK dared to vote
to leave the EU, it would be tanks thru the chunnel in minutes.

And that Truss would be the saviour of the Torys.
