Hi

I want to wallpaper an alcove that is smaller than two widths of wallpaper, what the best way to do this? do I work from the centre out? How do I make sure it straight?

Thanks for any help

Alec

To make sure it is straight, lightly draw/mark a vertical plumb line on
the wall, and yes start from the centre as it would look better.

get a piece of string and attatch a weight (a nut or bolt or something about
an ounce).
Rub the length of the string with snooker chalk and hold it against the wall
near the ceiling, allowing the weight to dangle.
When it's settled, get someone to pull it fairly tight at the bottom and
'twang' the string, this will leave a straight pale blue line to work from.
