Hi,

I have a G99 Parkray which is leaking, I have decided to put the repair cost
into an oil fired combi which is fine. I want to remove the Parkray and back
boiler and eventually open the fireplace up properly.

I have removed the door, front plate, grate and riddler and now want to (I
think) pull out the remaining casting.

Any ideas how to finish this would be most appreciated as I am now getting
grief from the other half re the ugly site I have left in the living room.

Regards

Trevor

first drain down the pipes! (I know obvious but sometimes overlooked) then
disconnect the copper from the boiler fittings and unscrew the stub pipes
going into the stove( I am assuming this is a recessed room heater with side
outlets to the boiler) check the ashpan floor as some models had screws
through them. then try leavering the carcass out, if you are lucky it will
slide out, if not it has been concreted in from above in which case the fire
surround may have to come off or a hole pierced into the flue just above the
fire surround. The concrete removed and then the fire should slip out.
repairs to a Parkray are actually usually fairly straightforward usually
removal of stub pipes, then back boiler clean inside then refit boiler then
pipes and then the copper work. Martin
