Dear All,
I have just acquired one of these sturdy old drilling machines. It's a little bit scruffy, but seems to run very well. Before putting it to work, I would like to give it a partial strip down followed by a good clean, an inspection, then grease and reassemble.

It would be handy to have a manual for the drill but, unsurprisingly, the Meddings web site doesn't carry manuals for their 40-50 year old machines. Does anyone know of a place where some kind soul might have uploaded the manual as a pdf?

Cheers. Terry.

This lot seem to have it listed... not sure how much they will want for
a manual though:

For money i'd guess www.lathes.co.uk will have one but they are very expensive.

For free? Maybe best to ask on a UK based engineering message board or
elsewhere on usenet.

or maybe on the US based ones?

Thanks for the replies, folks. I'll try asking around on the suggested forums, since I'm not sure that I can stomach paying for a store bought manual; the machine isn't so complicated as to warrant it.

I think that my first job with the drill will be to assist me in making some kind of spinal support device that I now need after shifting the bloody thing. My God, it's HEAVY!

Regards,

Terry.
