Just watched one of those challenge Tommy Walsh programmes on
Discovery Real Time. He needed to clean some old bricks of paint and
used a large grinder that had a disc with ribs/grooves on the face
which ran over the face of the bricks and cleaned them. Looked great,
anyone know where to buy such a disc?

Nope, it looked like an ordinary masonry cutting disc except the face
of it had diagnol ribs going across it.

*Everyone's* looks bigger. It's just the direction you're looking at it
from. ;-)

Grinding discs are a great way to ruin brickwork. Paint gets in the
pores, and at 11,000 rpm a grinder disc of any kind is far too fast to
get into the pores, unless it just rips them off. Totally the wrong
approach imho.
