I need to stick up two or three ceramic tiles as a splashback behind
our cloakroom sink - I'm presuming gripfill would be OK for this, (as
I've already got some), rather
than having to buy specialist tile cement??

Done it many times. You still have to grout though.

I had to remove a large and very heavy porcelain tile from behind our toilet
after it leaked (behind a false wall). I replaced the tile with "no-nails".
It's still there as solid as ever.
