Has anybody had any success in tracking down a company called "Kee Tripple Tube Underfloor Heating Ltd".
They sell a product called "Kee Tripple Tube", and have traded under a variety of names, and have a complex arrangment of suppliers, who advertise as
being this company, but in actual fact are not.
Companies house have an address, no phone number.
BT have no phone number
The phone number they have is no longer working
The phone number the advertise is not actually them
The British Board of Agreement have a certificate for the product, but have the same usless phone numbers - the BBA are investigating.
I ask as I have a pile of their heating product under my floor, squrting water all over the place, and a aparently worthless 25 year guarnentee .....
I guess they have done the normal trick, of sell crap product, disolve company, restart compnay in same building, with new name, sell same crap product.
I feel like putting up a web site, with their company name, and photos of their product, and guarnettes, and how worthless it all is .......

What about the contact details given on their website

I take it them that they are completely unwilling to put you in touch with
the right people, it is a surprise as there is going to be any bad
plublicity then it could well affect their own business.
I fthey only use distributers than you need to take the problem up with
whoever sold or installed the product
David
You have my sympathy.
Is it the extruded thermoplastic rubber tube itself that is incontinent or
the fittings?
Personally after looking at it at one of the shows it seemed too proprietary
when everyone else uses PEX barrier pipes.
I believe that you should be able to get further progress by writing to the
directors (registered post of course) to remind them of their obligations to
you. Copies to their home addresses wouldn't hurt either.
Your original distributor under The SOG Act would be liable in the first
instance.
The website (as Underfloor Direct Ltd) seems to imply that UDL = Kee, such
as the phrases relating to the design, manufacture and certification: we,
our etc.
"About Us > About KEE Triple Tube Underfloor Heating Ltd. Kee Triple Tube
Underfloor Heating is an.... " "Our Awards"
It looks like someone did a cut and paste job to change the
copyright/contact address & phone details through the site except several
pages such as the 'Quote Request' page are still KTTUH Ltd. The evidence
would suggest that UDL previously traded as KTTUH. I guess the BBA would not
approve the transfer of their certificate to a new company?
Is it just me or does the installer/gimp look like Jim Carey?

'One day son, all this will be finished'
I have bodged it, I have 21 pipes under the floor, now one has 2 g-clamps each side of the leak, so only 20 work.
One thing I have learnt is to use *LOTS* of circuits, if one leaks in 10 years, you simply cut it out, only once you have lots a few do you have to re-install.

NuHeat were the UK suppliers for KEE, and they sold the triple tube
Santoprene system, they split form KEE about 5 years ago, and sold a twin
Santoprene tube for a while - then moved to Pex pipe.
http://www.nu-heat.co.uk/
Kee had a UK sales guy by name of Eric Elliott on 018206 24141 fax 018206
28358
As you probably know Kee was based in Ireland and the boss man there was
Bill Brand - when I dealt with him his eMail address was
bill...@lineone.net
The address was Kee Radiant Floor Heat Ltd, Scarva Road, Banbridge, Co
Down, BT32 3QD
Hope that helps
