anyone got a 900mm/1000mm quadrant/teardrop shower enclosure and tray
they love or hate and why?
Looking about ebay has some from £150 odd, general googling can take
you to (allegedly) £1000+
Admittedly the more "designers" look very good and I expect will be
unforgiving to fit (needing vertical walls at the least), but for me,
more than £500 incl. tray would have to be really worth it for this
job (guest bed ensuite).
Anyone got any horror stories, brands/styles to avoid? and why?
sources to try/avoid?
I'd like:-
1000 X 1000mm quadrant/teardrop
frameless/semi frameless
single hinged curved door
low profile tray
I'd settle for:-
900 X 900mm quad/teardrop
single sliding door
low profile tray
There seems to be alot of "resellers" about who appear to have no
warehousing (since no collections allowed and operate out of PO Boxes
or residential sounding addresses), I'd like to avoid those where
poss. and try to buy direct....

I recently bought two Bette enameled steel shower trays - very
impressed with the quality. Pretty sure they do quadrants. Prices vary
widely - what one reseller has at a good price on one model, another
doesn't - but vice-versa on a different model with the same two
suppliers.
Not heard of them, I'll peruse...are they insulatedor a bit cold first
thing?
what make/cost of shower enclosure did you go for?
cheers

Not insulated. Hadn't thought about them being cold, but might be a
problem in a bathroom that tends to be cold - if you tend to get in
the shower then turn it on, rather than reaching in.
What sets them apart is the quality and toughness of the enamel.

Built my own.
