Hi all,

I'm sorry if this OT, but I can't think of anywhere else
to ask.

What is the difference in meaning between 'biological
detergent' and 'non-biological detergent'? Are they
just labels created to cause confusion amongst
consumers?

TIA,

Akin

> Quote from a soap powder packet: "A non-biological product does not
contain enzymes." You may find out more by ringing their (GB) 'Careline'
number on the packet: it is given as 0800 776644.

Traditional detergents act by forces that can be
completely described in classical physics and
chemistry. Biological detergents add enzymes
or other biologically active ingredients (which
act in different ways.)

Probably not: most label contents are designed
to make you buy the product, or more of it.
