Mail - multiple addresses separator

Anyone know what's the correct way to enter multiple email addresses in
the Apple Mail To and cc fields? is it a semicolon or comma after each
address or just a space?

Comma, if you're pasting. Or if you're typing; right-arrow also works
once it's recognised a previously used address.

Thanks - I've noticed that when you save a draft and then reopen the
adresses then appear as highlighted boxes showing all is well.
