Sony DR-BT22IK
Motorola S9 HD
Gear4 Bluphones
Jaybird JB-200
Altec Lansing BackBeat 909
Jabra Halo
Has anyone tried any of these? Or others? The Jaybirds seem really nice
(although the Gear4 @ ᅵ27-ish delivered are tempting)

Interesting. Thanks.

Small number of reviews at What HiFi too; eg
<http://whathifi.com/Review/Altec-Lansing-Backbeat-903/>
They liek them.

My real email is net, not line.
I haven't looked if they've covered these specific gadgets, but if you
want in-depth reviews ilounge.com often comes up trumps.

IMHO any benefit of using a bluetooth headset system is far outweighed by
the instant ' knob factor' associated with such accessories.. :-(

This is the one that is swaying me at the moment
<http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/altec-lansing-backbeat-9
03-wireless-stereo-headphones/>
or the Sennheiser mm200

dunno. the Sennheiser ones look like regular headphones. Are you just
thinking of the single ear car kit/taxi driver ones?

I've been using the Samsung WEP870 with an iPhone 3GS and been very
happy with it.
I tend to use headphones mainly for spoken word, and prefer usually to
have just one in-ear phone in at a time, so I can also hear what's going
on around me.
The WEP870 comes as a rather chunky bluetooth earpiece, which looks
pretty standard and plays in mono with the usual make/receive call/last
number functions.
It comes with a lanyard/in-ear set of headphones which are perfect for
me. You attach the earpiece to one end of the lanyard, and get stereo
sound from the earbuds. There's no iPod control, just accept/reject
call.
It all feels a bit clunky at first, but it works really well, and pairs
with the iPhone faultlessly. I can use the earpiece alone for driving,
and the earbuds when I'm wandering around shopping etc.
Mine cost 35 in a Vodafone shop. There's nothing on the packaging about
iPhone compatibiility (which probably saves you paying a premium), but
they work just fine.

That review starts off well, then pans the sound quality utterly which
puts them right off my list!

Hmm. I don't like the form much, but I used a pair of CX300's (next
down from the CX400's that this uses) and they sound pretty damn
decent for 20 earbuds...
Why are they all 100+?

I think you're confusing Bluetooth headsets (the things that fat blokes
wear while wandering around Tesco [1]) and Bluetooth headphones (which
look like normal headphones but without the dangly cable).

[1] I have a Bluetooth headset, but I never wear it outside of the car.

See my lik to What HiFi posted further up the thread (although I've not
heard them myself).
I'm holding out for a set of good-sounding BT headphones with noise
cancelling. You appear to be able to get the former and the latter are
now well-established, but the love-child of the two is yet to
materialise.
