I'm on Betfair, giving you odds of 5:1!!
So you bet £10, if you WIN I give you £50, but if Steve Jobs does not
announce an iPhone/iPod phone I keep your £10.
That's a rather open-ended bet. You would probably lose.
Perhaps you meant to say "... at the MacWorld Expo in January 2007".
That is more of an interesting bet (and not one which I'm willing to
make).

Since another company has already registered iPhone, Steve will not in
anyway be announcing an iPhone.
Yeah I know... I don't know what else to call it though.
I wouldn't touch that bet. I think that Apple would have to be crazy to
jump into the extremely crowded phone + music player + camera +
who-knows-what market -- unless they have a cyber-phone that can read
one's mind and dial by mental command or something similarly
revolutionary.

Never underestimate 'the Steve'. If the rumor is true, heads will roll
at Apple because of the leak. It will compromise his 'one more thing'
presentation. But he'll work around it. It's fun to follow Apple. Didn't
used to be that way for a time.
