Is there any way to have multiple profiles in Safari, like Chrome does?

Only by using different user logins. Even then make sure iCloud sync for
Safari isn't on in the alternate ones, or they use a diffrent/no iCloud
login.

Thanks. I'd have thought it de rigueur by now...

Using multiple accounts on a single website simultaneously.

Yes, that's useful for testing concurrent multi-user access to websites.

I use VMs for this.

Not keychain, most websites as soon as you login as one user kicks you
out as the other.

This is why generally I've got Chrome/Safari running simultaneously, one
for business & the other for personal accounts.

Does it work to use multiple private browsing tabs or windows?

I just tried logging in to Amazon in a private window, then visiting
Amazon in new tab, and I wasn't logged in there.

That's what I was going to suggest - this should work.

And is a good reminder to include your use case if you have offbeat
questions.

Unfortunately the case that multiple profiles solve is quite a bit more
complex than that.

In my case, I am a member of several different organisations that use
Google Mail/Docs/etc for various purposes, and need to have a different
Google persona in each.
