Anyone know if the BIOS in the HP Probook 450 G2 can be accessed without
using a Windows app?

(Heard that the BIOS/UEFI on some Toshiba laptops can only be
accessed via a Windows app...)

If you disconnect the hard disk it will probably let you access the BIOS
to set it to "legacy" mode ....

Please let us know if this works.

Not the sort of thing I would do during the warranty period!

Was looking for the answers before buying...

Well, there's this, so probably 'yes', up to a point:

Yes, 'Setup' can be accessed via Esc & F10 whilst bootingl; just done it.

Current problem with it is shrinking the 447GB 'C' disk to make space to
accommodate
dual-booting...

Disk Management (which, by the way, seems to have no 'defrag' facility)
does have a Shrink
option, and indeed shows that 423GB are unused in the 'C' disk, but when
I select Shrink it
comes back with:

"Not enough space available on the disk to complete this operation."

(Tried leaving a spare 3GB on it, but still Shrink failed. Mmm)
