I have hooked off my hard-disk to install another harddrive. That did not worked, so I put the old one back in. Now a cannot find my data anymore. Disk Management says the disc is unallocated, but the only thing I have done with that disc is disconneting from the server and then connected again. Were has my data gone to?

It's slightly possible that in removing it you have managed to damage the drive, or the PC itself has surged in power during startup and fried it.either way its gone to HD heaven, invest in a piece of recovery software and try that.
