Bluetooth details with Windows-8

As a grudge purchase I have moved from XP to Win-8. Under XP I could
easily see bluetooth connection details, services available, and so
forth. (It wasn't perfect, of course: stale ports seemed to accumulate.)
Under Win-8, apart from the irritation of Start vs desktop screens, I
find it difficult to see what bluetooth COM port numbers are in use and
for what connections.
Can anyone tell me how to approximate to the XP info under Win-8?
