Hi,

I'm trying to sort out a friend's pc. Basically the problem is that
the soundcard is not working. Its an Integrated sound card. Bios and
System properties (on XP) pick this up. But for some strange reason in
the sound card settings the sound card doesn't appear. The only asnwer
that i can think of is that there is no drivers installed.
Unfortunately there is no motherboard disc that came with this pc
(crappy i know). From looking at the board, I've gathered that its a
Mercury board with the SIS 962L UA chipset. Does anyone know how to
get these drivers or where i'm going wrong? I've tried most stuff. IF
i can't find a solution i'm just going to get them to buy another
sound card for a few quid. But if i can find an answer that would be
appreciated.

TIA
