how about one that doesnt have the sound to start with?

Asus TUSL2-C , no sound or video onboard, should retail somewhere around the
£90inc vat mark, an excellent p3 board assuming you dont need more than
512mb memory.

Certainly, the Gigabyte GA-60X should do you a treat. I paid £61.95 for mine
recently from Eclipse Computers in Midlands http://www.eclipse-computers.com .
Do not use the .co.uk site as it is the wrong one. It uses the Intel 815EP AGP
chipset which only has sound on-board which can be turned off. I run a Creative
sound card and Video card. It uses Award BIOS and has a feature called 2nd BIOS
which is a form of BIOS backup.

I know you will be happy with this motherboard, best regards, Peter.

If you don't mind buying from an online auction, I say the ASUS CUSL2
would be a very good choice. Very stable and overall a very good board.
I bought a new one few days back for $80.
