it gets past the bios stage and then comes up with an error message
for about 3 mins before booting into windows. the error code is 0075,
i dont know what this is, so, any help will be much appreciated. by
the way, i am using an ASRock board. I cant remember the exact model
however it is a _______-VSTA board.

It is likely to be a hard disk error. Try replacing the disk.

You need to cable the hard drive up correctly and set the jumper
accordingly.
