I'm looking to buy a new monitor for myself in the near future -- the
new year sales are coming up, after all. My basic requirement is 24"
diagonal with a 1920x1200 resolution. I thought about getting an IPS or
PVA-panel unit but my ancient eyes probably won't notice the difference
and my bank balance will, so TN will do me.

A high priority for my purchase is the ability to swivel the display
into portrait mode as I do a lot of B/W graphical work on printed
material. I also want multiple video inputs -- DVI and VGA would be nice
although two DVI connectors would be OK. There should be a front-panel
method of selecting which input is to be displayed, not just
auto-sensing as I will want to connect this screen to two computers (at
least). I don't absolutely need HDMI or HDCP-compatible inputs as I
don't do console gaming or intend to play DVDs to this screen. It's not
going to be used for hi-demand gaming so twitch response times and high
refresh rates are not a priority.

My other key requirement is low price (under 170 quid delivered) and
decent warranty cover (3 years minimum, on-site preferred). A top-rank
"name" manufacturer would be good for the comfort value. Any
suggestions?
