The problem that I'm having is that I cannot capture *colour* from my
VCR. I have a SCART-to-composite cable (SCART one end, red-white-yellow
phono plugs on the other) to connect to the VCR (Thomson multi-standard
capable, playing PAL tapes). The images show up just fine in the
preview window and in the captured (raw/uncompressed) AVI file, aside
from the fact that there's no colour. The tapes play OK onto my
television. It's not strictly correct to say that there's *no* colour,
but the faint green/red stripes over the image aren't right.
If I set the capture drivers to use NTSC mode, I get red/blue shadows
instead of green/red stripes, but no colour apart from that. Using
SECAM is a complete disaster.
