Fancy a jig in aid of a good cause? On Saturday 13th May, Windmill Folk will
be leading a barn dance at the Polish Club, Sherwood Rise between 8pm and
11pm.

The barn dance is in aid of the Chernobyl Children's Lifeline, a charity
that helps children suffering from the after effects of the Chernobyl
nuclear disaster and the economic situation in Belarus. The effects of the
Chernobyl nuclear disaster continue to affect the region fourteen years on:
the charity provides much needed hope by providing medicines to local
hospitals and by bringing children from the Chernobyl contaminated regions
of Belarus to the UK for rest and recuperation. The Nottingham branch brings
children over from orphanages and hospitals in Minsk (our twin town) for a
month at a time, during which they are hosted with families here. It costs
money for flights and medicine, so from time to time we organise
fund-raising events.

Tickets for the barn dance cost £3.50 (£2 conc); there will be a licensed
bar also. For more information and tickets, mail me at
tim.s...@russley.com or ring 0115 949 7181.

Thanks!
