I don't know if you have been informed already but the toilet in Hull on
Cottingham Road opposite to pub 'Gardeners Arms' referred to in your July
guide has been demolished completely this week !
IRELAND LIMERICK
There's a gay Bar Called "Quins" Opposit Archers Keys Shopping Centre.
bottom Of O'Connells St Theres Also A Gay Sauna At The Savoy Centre
Friday & Sunday Called Bubbles
Windover. Car Park There's a Hole between The Loos I Have been there a few
times not alot of action perhaps I was there at the wrong time
went to Milton Road Car Park cottage this morning at 9-15 and got sucked off
whilst guy fucked me. Had to go up there again this afternoon around 1045
and got sucked off again and sucked off a horny market trader guy also.
I also found a cottage on the A1120 at SAXTED near the mill. That was quite
lively around 11am this morning and a guy I met said it is better after 6pm
when it is dark. Big lay by in front to it so parking is not a problem
Rodmere Street, off Trafalgar Rd. Near Greenwich Hospital
Wicked cottage busiest after 4pm. 12 old fashioned pissers and about 8
lockups. mixed crowd with many 20 and 30 somethings. It's in a sortof out of
the way location so not many straight just wanting a piss. check it out lads
you won't be disappointed.
there is a gloryhole at ncp carpark in eastbourne
try also goring yatch club - sea lane
It has to be said that South London opportunities are a bit limited these
days, but you could try Streatham Common behind the cafe which is open till
dusk Mon-Fri. Also nearby, but not as busy, at Crown Point on the West side
of the Junction. Holly Grove behind Peckham Rye station also has it
moments - Mon to Sat until about 6pm. On your way to work try London Bridge
Station on platform one, or Charing Cross station concourse itself.
Blackfriars too. Bermondsey, near the
site of the antiques market, can be great - Mon to Sat until 4.30 or so, and
Grenwich town centre and , and probably one of the best south of the river,
near Greenwich Hospital - daily til 7. Please let me know if you find any
more!
1: Broxbourne.....the cottage on the green off Station Road (opposite
Churchfields). Landmark is the parish church close by!!! Very cruisy around
7.00 - 8.00 a.m.; also lunch times and often between 3.00 and 4.30 p.m. It
tends to close around 5.30 p.m.
2: Cheshunt....go over the level crossing at Cheshunt station and follow the
road for about 100 yards or so into the very quiet car park. The cottage
there is quiet, you can hear anyone coming (?cumming!), and has a dedicated
following.
3: Hertford.....apparently the toilets close to the swimming pool at Hartham
pool in Hertford are excellent; my mate and I had full blown 100% stark
bollock naked action there the other week with two other horny skins.
4: Trent Park, Enfield..not really Herts but almost. This is a country park
with a great set of toilets and glory holes.
Under: WILTSHIRE - Salisbury
Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Crane Bridge Road (near the Cathedral) by the car
park - Cottage and gardens. Quite busy some nights and occasionally during
the day. better to pick up in the cottage and take away into the park.
The car park is under camera surveillance. Please note that the camera is
moveable and often moves to cover the cottage entrance. So keep a lookout at
the camera or you may find a police car popping around to look at things.
St Patrick Square loo CLOSED indefinately.
St Andrew Bus Station - in the processof being demolished - loo obviously
closed!!! who knows what they will find!!!!
Great GH opportunities in Oban at North Pier and beside Cathedral.
Peterborough Updates:
Closures:
1) Scalford Road cottage is now permanently closed, due mainly to vandalism
rather than 'undesirable activities'.
2) Brooke Street Cottage (aka Stanley recreation Ground) is also closed,
and has been for some months, but the entrances are now boarded as well as
gated, so the closure appears to be terminal. A camera monitoring the car
park ticket vending machine had been moved to monitor the cottage during
the summer after reports of drug trafficking there, and the decision was
taken to close the facility shortly afterwards.
Updates:
1) Embankment. A little more active these days since the cleaner moved on
and has been replaced. Lunch time seem to be the most active. I have been
there around dusk and after dark on most nights of the week, and there is
little or no active cruising as described in pre 1999 reports. The
helicopter report is totally misleading. It was a (quote) serious incident
(unquote) and has no connection with any cruising activity. Frankly, it
would be best to delete the reference.
2) Rivergate centre Cottage. A couple of cubicle doors have been removed
to prevent any further hole boring. No recent grafitti, and the resident
cleaner appears to have a 'not in my back yard' attitude and a security
radio.
3) Itter Park. I haven't been there since the summer, but word is that it
has now been closed. It may be a seasonal closure, or it may be permanent.
4) Lincoln Road Recreation Ground. Ignore my earlier comments about the
CCTV camera. The Council capped their spending and the trees remain, so the
camera can't see more than the first two or three cars down from the shops.
4) Dogsthorpe Road (opposite the Bluebell Pub behind the bus stop) This
place is becoming more active, probably takeaways from the Eastfield
Cottage. There's reasonable on street parking facing the cottage, so car
drivers can watch and see who goes in, but pedestrians and cyclists have to
guess, or wait inside. Not a happy thought with winter coming early.
5) Oundle Road is showing signs of improvement after a fairly barren year.
Parking is poor, and people in the garage shop opposite have a good view, so
it's best not to hang around or visit too often.
============
New cottage. Well, not exactly new, but the gents in the Rivergate ASDA
store is gaining popularity, and I've had a pleasant fumble each time I have
been there in the past couple of months. It's upstairs in the restraunt
area, left at the top of the stairs. Cleaners check every hour or so.
New Cottage 2. The gents in Lewis's store in the Queensgate centre is
another place to have a quick fumble. It's in a passageway behind the TV
display on the first floor. Again, cleaners check on a rota.
============
Other places of interest as previous reports and winter closing is now in
effect, so all cottages are closed by 5pm and activity moves to the
gay-friendly pubs.
============
Not really a warning, but if you have other information about this, you may
be able to confirm a rumour that the police have been active around the
Eastfield Cemetary Gates cottage. I heard a half story of a police swoop,
but none of the regulars whom I know has been able to confirm this. Whilst
Peterborough police aren't exactly gay friendly, they don't appear to be
actively involved with stopping any 'discreet' cottage activity, and there
has been no mention of arrests in the local newspapers.
Unfortunately, one of the urinals is visible from the footpath and road, and
one or two 'straights' use it to 'accidentally flash' at schoolgirls passing
by the junction since some bushes were cut back and the lights repaired, so
there may have been another incident that I am unaware of.

London: Hyde Park evening cruising. Have you any recent information? It
isn't mentioned in the Guide. Several years ago cruising was blatant
between Speakers Corner (Marble Arch) down to Hyde Park Corner and along
Rotten Row from the Corner as far down as Bowater House, and around the
Bandstand from dusk until Midnight. I have to spend a couple of odd days
there (rail travel permitting) and I was wondering if it was worth a look
when I'm avoiding the rush hour sardine tin homeward journey.
Just to let you guys know there is a great cottage on corner of Wentworth
Street/Leyden Street, E1 - no attendant and great after 5.00 Mon-Fri and
anytime Sat afternoons and evenings - should be busier and even hotter than
it is - get down there and have as much fun as I did this Afternoon!
Had nice encouter with man in Elland Cottage. Nice big cock, but dodgey
scene. I played with his cock and he mine + my arse. VERY nice. would like
to meet him again or similar.
Datchet:
Public toilets in town centre. Lunch time suits and after 4 pm for a more
general selection. No attendant, but video camera in place. Older crowd in
mornings and mid-day. Exit off A4 follow signs to Datchet and turn left at
round-about and carry on to town Centre.
This bad news from September, 1999:
"The toilets are now closed. Not sure for how long."
Maidenhead:
Rest area off M40/M4, just past roundabout before Henley turn off. Cruisy
parking lot and nearby woods. "Small wooded area, well used all day and
evening, but visited by police cars."
This note from March, 2000:
"This place is currently closed. Not sure for how long."
Sutton Scotney:
Sutton Scotney Services, off A34, southbound. Cruisy toilet in Granada
Service Station. "Gloryhole in end two stalls, action day and night, favored
by truckers."
Chesham:
Cruisy toilet on main road from Chesham to Hemel Hempstead. "Very small but
busy toilet on main road, one cubicle with peephole and gloryhole onto two
stalls. Very busy with locals and RAF from nearby base. All ages but lots of
younger guys." Located between Salvation Army and Church School.
Milton Keynes:
Market Square. Cruisy toilet near car park. "This cottage can be slow at
times, but most weekends it gets lots of group action. Two cubicles without
door locks and lots of peep holes in doors. I visit here on a regular basis
and can gaurantee someone is prepared to suck if you can hang around for a
while. Loads of local lads various ages and an occasional hunk." Take the A5
towards Stony Stratford. At the end of the road take the first exit. Past
the first set of lights about 200 metres past the lights is a right turn
filter lane. Follow this road towards High Street, and just before the
pedestrian area the road bends to the right and then to the left. Almost
immediately to your left is Market Square car park and about 50 metres
further along this road is the cottage.
Wendover:
Layby off A413. Cruisy parking lot and nearby woods. "This is a picnic site
with cruisy woods. On hot summer days gay nude sun bathing is found through
woods in large field up towards right side at the end. Lunchtimes are best
in winter and day and early evenings in summer." Located between Great
Missenden and Wendover.
Cruisy toilet on the roundabout near Jesus Green. "This is possibly the
cruisiest daytime spot in town with a constant stream of trade."
Littleport:
Brandon Creek, off the A10 Road. Cruisy toilet and car park in picnic area.
"This is a cottage that is always busy. But especially from around 5 pm to 6
pm most nights. Most of the action takes place in the cottage but also there
is plenty of cruising going on either in the parking lot or along the river
bank. There is a fairly mixed bunch, from truck drivers to reps, a few
oldies and some chicken too. If you do decide to play in the cottage, it's
quite safe as you get plenty of warning if somebody is on their way in." 4
miles outside of Littleport.
Wansford:
Picnic area off A47. Cruisy park, toilet. "Behind toilets is an area of
trees and undergrowth. Lots of activity, some in groups. Some discretion
needed as some straights use the area. I've sucked half a dozen guys during
one hot afternoon and been fucked senseless on other occasions." Located
near the junction with the A1.
Great cruising spot just outside Sheffield, from junction 35 of the M1 m/way
head towards Rotherham, after approx 1 mile on your right you will see the
entrance to the Grange Golf course, to the right hand side of the main drive
is an area with trees, bushs etc with plenty of varied action. All times of
the day and evening. So if you are in the area give it a visit.
CHISWICK COMMON: Closed whilst work is done on adjoining playground
GRANGE ROAD SE1: Very varied crowd (I had one japanese tourist offer me £5
to "licky licky" my cock. I declined.). Good warning from stair entry.
TOOLEY STREET SE1: My current favourite - lots of action, again very varied,
but big enough for you to escape the monsters. Suits at lunch, builders
after 3pm, tourists, and gay boyz all day long. Full-on fucking in the
cubicles.
COTTON'S SE1: I think this place is overrated - too small to get up to much,
and only a split second warning.
ANGEL TUBE: Closed.
TWYFORD, BERKSHIRE: Big surprise - it's small, but busy. I fucked one
builder, got fucked by another, and sucked and rimmed by a skin head before
fucking him (not all at once). All on a sunny autumn day in the middle of
sleepy Berkshire. Excellent!
Oh, speaking of Pineham Park, it would appear to have been shut down -
someone on CFS told me the car park there is always locked now, and a few
recent flying visits have confirmed this - better mark it as closed until
further notice, I think...
I've posted details of a couple in Brighton - by the way the Brighton Marina
steel plates are off as of today, but no action at all. Come on guys!
After leaving the bright lights of Perth behind me, I now have a new job and
new area to check out. This is what I have found so far:
Warwick Road Car Park, Solihull. This is the multi-storey between Safeway
and Beatties. The toilets are underground by the main payment machines. As
you go in, you have to walk down some stairs. Stalls are in front with
urinals to your right and sinks to your left. Very cruisy loos with lots of
young rich kid talent (all legal of course !). Bet daddy doesn't know what
junior is getting up or up to !! First two stalls next to urinals have
several holes between them and space under walls for wanking. Not sure how
often police or caretakers pop by, so will take away for now. Does seem to
have general shopping traffic which is so inconvenient. Can't they go before
leaving the house ??
Again in Solihull this time the other side of the shopping area in Poplar
Way Arcade. This is a sort of 70's covered arcade with Sainsbury's,
Woolworths and Marks & Spencers all accessible. Toilets are open all week
(even Sundays). There are three cubicles which are out of the way. All three
have large holes connecting and it seems to be a very active place. Again I
am not sure about police or caretaker presence but judging by the holes
between the cubicles, I doubt anyone actually bothers worrying about either
!!
Moving up the M42 and on to Tamworth. You have a mention of the services at
junction 10. This is a standard Granada site with security guards
patrolling. I have been there several times and nothing has been going on.
There are no holes or any other indication of activity.
Into Tamworth and their small shopping centre called Ankerside. Loos here
are very small but there are four cubicles but with urinals straight in
front. The last two have a hole between which helps with communication if
you get my drift. This is a strict takeaway due to it's size and the big
camera outside. Do not visit too many times a day !!
Can you put out a plea for more info and police updates on the other sites
mentioned in the guide as directions are not clear and seems to be old
warnings on the guide. Can you also ask for local knowledge of the best
sites in both Solihull and Tamworth due to my "new to the area" status.
There must be more cock fun happening around here.
Update on Birmingham.
You will see from item 2 that that the local council is proposing to replace
the suburban toilets with the 20p French stand alones.
>From Harborne Ward Committee minutes 28 July 2000
1. Grove Park Harborne Public toilets.
"A member of the public requested that action be taken regarding homosexual
activities in the public toilets in Grove Park. He stated that the Park
Keeper had given car registration numbers to the Police but no action had
been taken."
The toilet has now been closed.
2. "The department is in the process of finalising a contract with JC Decaux
UK Ltd for the replacement of the department's suburban public conveniences.
Subject to planning consent for the new buildings being granted, it is
anticipated that the new facilities will be provided within 12 months of
signing the contract. The new toilets will provide facilities for people
with disabilities and for parents with children and are highly vandal
resistant. In addition, the toilets are self-cleaning after every use and
will represent a considerable improvement over existing facilities."
Update on Tyneside.
SACRISTON
Pull-ins between Burnhope / Sacriston on the country road linking ex
Sacriston colliery and Burnhope also, ex-mine at Stony Heap, near East
Castle, JUNE99.
I have yet to see any action in these places. I have visited Stony Heap at
least 12 times and the place is always empty. Perhaps your correspondent
could give further details.
Do you have any pointers to B&Bs that are good? I'm staying around Milton
Keynes / Northampton at present, but anywhere along M1 - J10-J18 would be
good.
Bloomsbury gardens (I think, near Russell square). Comes recomended, was
there in June and most nights from 10 onwards it was heaving with horny
guys.
Russell square - still goes on - also June.
Update: Sacrewell Picnic Site, just of A1 on the A47. The cameras
overlooking the toilets appeared back in April. Lots of trees that used to
give cover of the toilets have been removed. However, it's still busy,
probably because of its location.
Back in June I tried the listing near Cuddington in Chesire. Tried for over
an hour to find it. The directions in your guide are accurate, but there's
no sign of anything happening.
M1 J14, Pineham park. Now closed, for the past month the entrance to car
park has been blocked.
So, off I went to Stony Stratford. Active with good cover.
Currently I travel M1 J14-21 so I'll be visiting a few other places I guess.
Thank you for sending me the latest copy of your report, I was very
surprised to see the toilets in East Morton in your list, I have lived in
the village virtually all my life and l have never seen any action - or even
heard any comments about them from other villagers. For me being a local it
would be far to dangerous as it is only a small village!!
East Morton, West Yorkshire - between Keighley and Bradford (The toilets are
located in the centre of the village next to the pub car park)
As the police are clamping down on cruising in the Leicester Abbey Park, I
can advise that the Humberstone Park one the A47 (Uppingham Road) opposite
the Trocodera (Shell) petrol station is becoming a great place to cruise.
There is a gang of teenage lads all of which will suck your cock for a
tenner and they are very discreet. Please note that after nine oclock it is
rife with lovely young men all dying for a fuck.
I went last night and within an hour was fucking the arse off the most
beautiful blond lad.
You can find a lot of fun with older guys in Croydon. The place to go is the
cottage behind the Drummond Centre. Its near the market. (if you get lost
give me a shout) Also Chariots Sauna in Streatham has alot of older guys
there.
Update on 'The Gardens' - Newcastle
This busy cruising area has many paths, bushes and nooks and crannies.
In the midst of this area is a large empty building which has now been
opened and is used by guys for all sorts of activities. An excellent
addition to an already good area
Norfolk: St. Andrews Hall loos now closed (permanently I think). Bowthorpe,
peepholes all filled. Still active and reasonably safe but quieter than
normal.
Whipps Cross Woods - park in car park on S side of Snaresbrook Road 200yds
West of Eagle Pond. The Hampstead Heath of E London.
Increasingly busy, however, though not in the same league, is the North end
of Wanstead Flats - park in layby on Centre Road just south of 2
mini-roundabouts where Lake House Rd and Aldesbrook Road branch off - action
in the bushes to the South - lots of horny Asian cock which I like.
Bad news fellow suckers - after years of pleasure going seemingly unnoticed,
the basement at University of london in Malet place is finally CLOSED. SHIT
!!!!!!!!
Any one know of any central London Alternatives??
But I'm glad to say that the toilet at Willesden Green tube station (NW
London) is now in use again :-)
Leytonstone. In the Co-op car park. No glory hole there now, though, but
still some action. the one actually on the tube station platform has been
done up recently too.
Try Walthamstow E17 - either the one at the junction of Wood St and Forest
Road or the one on Forest Road at Lloyd Park.
A quick update on Huddersfield.
The cottage on New Hall Hey Road seems to be always locked now. The recent
lack of discretion at Bretton Park has caused a lot of media coverage and
forced the police to address the issue. It really is a shame.
If people would just be more careful - talk about biting the hand that
feeds. A bi-product seems to be that there is a group of Asian lads having a
go in Greenhead park (which has remained very busy). One very large, one
very tall and one very cute. However they carry an iron bar and have
attacked at least two individuals in the last couple of weeks, one very
seriously. The police are well aware and have made great efforts to find
them. (appreciated). This has meant increased police activity in Greenhead
park so be careful (and discreet) on both counts. I am told the cute lad
approaches individuals and persuades them away from the main area and then
the other two move in.
Try the cottage by the side of Barclays Bank in Harborne High Street. Get
the No 22/23/29/103 to the bus stop by the Green Man pub. The cottage is
open 24 hrs a day but does get some attention from the police so be careful.
Five Ways Cottage is open at least during the day and is easily reached by
many buses including the ones above.
Acocks Green Cottage is worth a look. It is reached by the bus No 1/11/37.
It is next to a large pub right in the centre and it is possible to pick up
straight men leaving the pub at night if only for a wank and a suck.
Moseley Cottage and Kings Heath cottages are good at times and can be
reached by the No 50 and 35 (No11 for K.H. also possible).
Thought you cruisers might like to know that I had a wild night last night
on the common Clapham); never knew it was so active! If you head for the
bandstand, and go into the wooded area about 50metres further on, it is
heaving with willing cock.
Could you possibly include this request for info in the next edition of the
Guide please?
"I was chatting with someone on gay.com recently who said that there is a
well-known cruising area outside Ripponden in West Yorkshire "near the
reservoir". As there are four reservoirs in the vicinity, I'm having
difficulty locating the precise spot! The informant also mentioned some
woods nearby. Does anyone have any additional information to share?"
Cruising in Canterbury - playing field behind toilets on London Road dual
carriageway towards A2. Cottaging in toilets though only one cubicle and
it's a bit cosy in there. Cruising in the field - hang around among the
trees by the path and have fun! Police are rumoured to check at midnight
though I've never seen any. They do drive past from time to time going to
the dodgy estate just further on... Not much cover but can still be fairly
busy on some nights.
Also multi storey carpark at Wattling Street is rumoured to be an
interesting place to loiter at night, though I've never tried it.
There is still an excellent and very busy cottage in Morley - behind the
Carphone Warehouse on Queen Street.
Great cruising spot just outside Sheffield, from junction 35 of the M1
motorway head towards Rotherham, after approx 1 mile on your right you will
see the entrance to the Grange Golf course, to the right hand side of the
main drive is an area with trees, bushs etc with plenty of varied action,
all times of the day and evening. So if you are in the area give it a visit.

Southbound
There is a hole between cubicles 3 and 4 counting from far end. Not had
any luck there as hole is low down and near to toilet and not big enough to
get a cock through unless your a contortionist..
Northbound
Again a nice hole (at the right height and big enough ot get most cocks
through) between 3 and 4 but count as you go in.. Had several good sucks and
cum suppers there nearly got myself fucked as well...
Warning
Only thing to watch for is last time I was there there was an Asian guy
hanging around with what looked like a two way radio.... came and went
several times. I was sat outside in my car and could observe him from a
distance..
Cruising area just off M1 J13 towards Bedford.
Accurate as 18 August 2000
Excellent fun there one afternoon nearly tempted to get a guy to take some
undies photos of me in the middle of the afternoon got a good load off a guy
in a 4x4.
Belton near Scunthorpe
Accurate as 27 August 2000 open daily from about 9 until 5. Good area for
fun in woods further down, go past first bit of woods and take the wooded
bit on the right ....loads of fun in the woods in the hollow. Not much in
the toilets themselves (although must admit had one of my best 3/4s in there
several years ago.)
Doncaster
Sandall Park
Accurate as of 28 August 2000
Gents toilet is now permanently CLOSED. Some fun in cars in the main car
park after dusk Beware of police patrols... this is one of the last cruising
areas in Doncaster so gets a lot of attention.
Bawtry
Kings wood
Some good fun in this little car park and the woods ( not very dense so have
to go a fair way in to hide form the road/ car park Best way is right and
up the slopes..)
Beware .... there have been a few locally reported incidents in the press of
cars being vandalized there.
Newish
Dome Sauna..
Accurate as of 28 August 2000
Good fun in upstairs Steam room had several good sucks and cream suppers..
and the odd golden shower. Some fun on the open air sun deck after dark.
Some fun in the dry cabins but attendants tend to look in without warning
(at least in the steam room its hard to see and the door to the Steam room
floor is very noisy..)
New area trying to get going...
Accurate as of 28 august 2000
Old church at Kirk Sandall down by the river.. couple of gravelled car parks
where I go for my local fun..

Any other good cruising / pickup spots round Doncaster or any locals want to
have a TV slut ( WS / Cum / fuck)
Layby on the A811 (signposted Erskine Bridge) road from Stirling. The layby
is actually more like 3-4 miles from the Castle. On a Thursday night it was
deserted, but on Friday night it was busier. We spoke to a local guy who
warned us that the Police keep a frequent check on it, in unmarked cars. So
BE CAREFUL!
I previously sent you a message about a cinema in Bilston.
In a triumph of hope over experience I returned there recently and had a
wonderful time. There are two screens. In the smaller room (with the
bigger screen), I sat next to an Asian guy who was keen to explore my shorts
with his hands. At one moment (as I leaned forward to put on a condom) he
had his finger up my bum and his hand round my cock!
Later, in the bigger room, an older man was also very curious and put his
hand inside my trousers (with some help from me). He whispered in my ear
that we could go to his van for some sucking but sadly I came too soon.
Also enjoying themselves in the cinema were a young couple. The girl first
sucked off her boyfriend and then a complete stranger.
Inspector Harper Nottinghamshire Police is again reported in the Mansfield
CHAD newspaper as to be warning about the overt sexual behaviour of men at
Thieves Wood and No Mans Hill Wood which are very popular meeting points.
Inspector Harper continues to say that the Police will name and shame and
prosecute anyone caught involved in homosexual activity there. The newspaper
also continued in reporting that the two sites mentioned are featured in
national news letters advertising the sexual activity there. A woman was
reported as being disguted at what she saw......(there is always one
available to comment isn't there) ...so be warned, be careful, be safe.
Notts
Police will name and shame you.
There's been some police activity at Bartley Heath, Hants (J5 M3) lately. I
hear on the grapevine it's due to the murder/death in suspicious
circumstances of a local marine who used the woods for "leather excursions".
The main crusing areas (nearest the motorway at the fallen tree stumps) are
all cordoned off with a police line.
Extra caution advised, or even, give the place a miss for a couple of months
and use the nearby A287 layby instead.
Another warning, I'm afraid. Apparently this is so blatent it is difficult
to have much sympathy with the guys - a little discretion is called for!
"Huddersfield, Litherop Lane, Bretton Park
Complaints have been made to police about overt sexual activity at this
picnic area. Uniformed patrols are taking place regularly."
Royal London Hospital
Gloryhole referred to WAS in the staff canteen block, down the stairs, but
has been metalled over. There is also a king-size CCTV camera monitoring the
entrance.
However, the cottage next to endoscopy seems to have potential, but beware
because it also sees it shares of legitimate users.
At the moment I only know of one in the Grimsby area, between Great Coates
and Healing, and the layby on the A18, Mortal Ash Hill in Scunthorpe.
Aberdeen:
Chapel Street Car Park. Cruisy toilet. "Only two stalls but much less busy
than Schoolhill. Regulars tend to go just after lunch time." Located round
the corner from the Copthorne Hotel.
Cruisy toilet on Schoolhill outside Bon Accord Shopping Centre. "Very cruisy
toilets. Can be very busy as it is in a very busy thoroughfare. Closes early
evening."
Duthie Park. Cruisy toilet, park. "Especially cruisy behind the shelter at
night. Toilets close at dusk but can be busy at weekends."
Golden Square. Cruisy park. "Large square surrounded by offices. Series of
streets and lanes leading from square in well lit area. All ages visit
from young to old. Only really active from midnight until 3.30 am,
especially Friday and Saturday nights.
Union Terrace Gardens, on Union Street at the Terrace. Cruisy toilet, park.
"This is one of the best public toilets I have ever flashed my penis in. It
is an old Victorian design with lots of cubicles and a long curved urinal.
It is perfectly designed for cock fun and there are two very quiet cubicles
right in the back of the toilet, thoughtfully situated behind a pillar which
keeps them out of view of anyone other than someone looking for cock fun.
Both have a small gloryhole allowing the person outside to expose their
penis and to the person inside. The second cubile from the main exit is the
best one since it has a small but sufficient gloryhole allowing a perfect
view of everyone comming in and everyone standing at the urinals, thereby
allowing excellent voyeurism. Best to go to the cubicles behind the pillar
if you want someone to join you for cock fun. The cubicles have frosted
glass though so make sure you take a jacket to put up on the coat hook so
you can suck or wank without being seen." Located in the centre of Union
Street at the large Union Terrace Gardens and Bridge. The toilets are on the
corner underneath the large statue. You enter through the gates and descend
the stairs into the toilet which lies underneath the street.
Here is some general information for your monthly newsletter (which is
always appreciated! It concerns TRENT COUNTRY PARK, near ENFIELD. Of late
the toilets there (and there is a nice glory hole as well) has been very
active with a lot of action. The toilets are nicely secluded about 100 yards
or so from the entrance (although you have to go round the one way system of
the park!). You can also hear if anyone else is coming so you have plenty of
time to "get prepared"! There are also several hidden "lay-byes" in the
park, the best one being the first one to your left after you've entered
into the park.
And if you have space in your general enquiry section could you possibly ask
if anyone has any information concerning the Chingford or Epping areas.
The gay sauna in Sheffield is called Bronx and it's located at 208 Saville
Street which is located down towards the Attercliffe Road area. It's on the
main road to Meadowhall. (tel: 0114 278 0383).
Bedfordshire - Brogborough Picnic Site
This site is very close to Milton Keynes (less than 10 minutes drive) so it
might be worth cross-referencing it under the MK entry too?
Bedfordshire - Brogborough Picnic Site [AUG00]
I got sucked off twice here in the last couple of months, and gave one or
two blowjobs as well, although it is incredibly difficult to persuade people
to do anything (maybe some local code I'm missing?) - I've been turned down
a few times after blatantly offering to suck someone's cock, after they've
followed me into the bushes, and I'm young and not
unattractive...
Buckinghamshire - Fenny Stratford
Fenny Stratford is a tiny village which is almost wholly contained by the
borough and new city of Milton Keynes, so I think it would help readers to
locate this entry if it was put in as a sub-heading under the main Milton
Keynes entry... you have split all the MK cruising spots up too much,
people may not realise how many alternatives they have around here...
Buckinghamshire - Marlow
The image link here is broken on Unix systems (case sensitive) - you either
need to change the image filename from a40.gif to A40.gif, or the IMG tag
from "A40.gif" to "a40.gif"
Buckinghamshire - Newport Pagnell
Again, this is basically part of Milton Keynes, as with Fenny Stratford, and
should be a sub-heading under the main Milton Keynes heading...
Buckinghamshire - Pineham Park
Pineham Park is the name of a picnic area inside Milton Keynes, therefore
this entry should definitely be a sub-heading under the main heading of
Milton Keynes, otherwise people looking for action in this area may not
notice it...
Buckinghamshire - Pineham Park *WARNING!* [FEB00]
I have been within seconds of being caught with a cock in my mouth here
twice, both times by a policeman who arrives on a moped and then walks
quietly into the bushes where the action is... I think the carpark is
sometimes under observation, as the timing the last time was too good to be
coincidence...
Buckinghamshire - Stony Stratford
Again, this is inside the borders of Milton Keynes... should be a
sub-heading under the main Milton Keynes heading...
Buckinghamshire - Stony Stratford [JUL00]
Got sucked off at the toilets here by a most enthusiastic crowd of older
guys, I think they were pleased to see a young cock being offered, they were
certainly flattering enough about my groinal charms!
Buckinghamshire - Stony Stratford [AUG00]
Plenty of action in the woods at location 1, I was in a three-way sucking
session there a couple of days ago with an older guy and a very cute young
asian guy... lots of fun, definitely the prime location in the MK area!!
Better directions to location 1 might be needed - once you have parked, it
is tricky to find the action unless you are in the know. You go through the
side-gate of the car-park, rather than the end gate, and turn left onto the
path there... follow it along until you reach a little wooden bridge over a
small stream... now take 4 or 5 paces backwards and
look left - you will see a path leading into the woods - follow it in and
turn right, go under the fence and keep following it around to the little
clearings in the woods... you have reached the action area - have fun!
Hope all this can be fitted into the September guide - I've attached an
edited bucks.htm file that includes all my additions and suggested changes
for Buckinghamshire, to save you having to move all the MK entries around
yourself - you can just slot this one in and add anyone else's stuff to it
instead of the old one - hope that's of use?
The Police in Leeds are ensuring a high profile presence in Roundhay Park
at the moment, which is likely to remain through the rest of the summer
holiday.
It is a result of a spate of robberies committed by teenagers, the majority
of vicitms being teenagers.
However, where there is blatent sexual activity, the police are taking
action. I know of three arrests to date, all of whom have been charged. The
officers are both uniformed and plain clothes. Be careful and be discrete.
Uniformed officers made a visit to the Broxton picnic site in Cheshire in
the last few days, using an unmarked dark blue car (possibly a Vauxhall
Vectra), reg no T198 AHP. This was possibly in response to an increase in
activity in the area.
According to an announcement in the pub last night, Whipps Cross in East
London is being targetted by queerbashers at night. One person had to take
his friend to hospital from there a couple of nights ago.
Quy Fen City: Cambridge
Grassy fen area with shrubs, facing south, so it gets plenty of sun. Enough
cover so that you can have sex, though it is so quiet that you can have a
bit of discreet wanking even in the open. There is a public footpath passing
to one side of the area, though sufficiently far away that it shouldn't
cause problems. I've had no problems in getting sex every time I've
visited - usually oral and mutual j/o, though fucking sometimes goes on.
Turn left at X-roads in Stow-cum-Quy village, park near stream. Best times:
11am - 4pm. Guys 30s to 70s looking for place to strip off for sun and fun.
Cruising tips: Stand up and rub some suntan cream on your cock until it is
stiff. Then wander off and see who follows...
Thistles can make walking with bare feet hazardous, so take some foot gear.
Unfortunately some of the shrubs have been cut down over the winter, so
cover is not as good as it used to be.
Midsummer Common City: Cambridge
Had some horny young fucker (literally!) in the cubicles. (Bring your own
condoms!) Some 'cynical' locals (rent?) wait outside, everyone else is
gagging for it inside.
Jesus Lane/Victoria Road. Best Lunch/evening. Horny students in term time
(Oct-Dec, Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun) plus locals/visitors of all ages.
Well, actually, I left a bit of sorting out undone when I said "Perhaps you
could clarify in the next edition whether this place is a cruise bar or just
a cinema".
I have now obtained further details of Central Station from
http://www.hey-mickey.com/gaylondon/kings_cross.html
This makes it clear that it IS in Wharfdale Road, N1 (Kings Cross), and that
it is a pub/bar etc., NOT a cinema. Suggest you delete all references to
it, as your guide doesn't cover this sort of place.
The toilet at Willesden Green tube station (NW London) is currently closed
'for repairs'.
Could you please pass this on to all my fellow cruisers, I was out at the
riverbank by Walton-upon-Thames tonight at about 11pm. I was playing with a
guy when a police car came powering down the lane and then another one came
at us the other way. Fortunately I made a run for it and lied low in the
undergrowth, I backtracked and walked back to my car and saw that the two
police cars had blocked in another car and they had called for back up in
the form of dogs and handlers and were scouring the undergrowth for anything
or anyone that they didn't like the look of. Be very careful at this venue
as this was a targeted operation and the police are obviously out to
increase the crime stats and we are gonna get screwed in the process
I have got some updates to some motorway service stations. Now I know they
are right next to each other but I was looking for the second and took the
wrong junction, so I thought I would check it out anyway.
M6 - Knutsford
Aptly named I thought. I popped into the loos about 5pm Friday and there
seemed to be a few people hanging around. I put myself in the end cubicle.
All the cubicles have full length doors to help hide activity within. I was
there for no more than thirty seconds when the next cubicle was filled. The
shadow cast next door highlighted his intentions and a few moments later he
was on all fours with hand under the dividing wall. With an offer like that
how could I refuse.
Something to bare in mind is that although the doors are full length,
someone browsing from one cubicle could see under all dividing walls in the
row. With normal services traffic throughout the day, discretion should
always be a priority.
M6 - Sandbach
Anyway after all that debacle I thought I would check out the actual one in
your guide. Slightly different layout but some faces I recognised from the
previous stop 12miles away. The cubicles are a lot more open with gaps under
both the doors and dividing walls. The doors open onto the sinks but one or
two look on to the urinals. As these are further away any passing glance
would provide an easy view of any under wall action. Watch out !!.
I put myself in one of the middle cubicles. Again it wasn't long before the
chap next to me was kneeling with trousers round his ankles trying to peer
under the wall. The toilets and specifically the sinks were very busy and
the chance of getting caught was high. I decided to pass, but as I left
someone else was more than willing to take my place. As I washed my hands 6
cubicles behind me were full with men obliging each other under the walls.
It was only when I noticed a small cue forming for the cubicles I thought I
had better get out of there. Seems to be very cruisey and quite popular by
the occupational cottage dweller who seem to browse at both this and the
previous services. All that I ask is that patrons be very careful. With
proper users able to see a lot more than at Knutsford and with plenty of
summer family kids using the loos, such blatant action going on will lead to
the authorities being called and soon !! Please control those urges to
climb under the walls !!
I am doing the run again this week so if I ......accidentally pop into any
of the services on your list, I will provide you with an update.
HAMPSTEAD HEATH
As well as the West Heath, I have heard that there is a second cruising
area, more for daytime cruising and nude sunbathing, possibly somewhere
around Kenwood. Can anyone give more details?
Nottingham (July 11, 2000)
Thieves Wood. "The police are having a major crack down here and at
Normanshill Wood in Sutton. A new policy of name and shame in the local
press is in operation and several guys already been caught out. Police use
entrapment tactics quite shamelessly and unmarked cars."
In "Information wanted" could you ask if anyone has recent info on Finsbury
Park. Were reports of muggings a little while ago as well as a poice raid
and helicopters with searchlights. has this stopped?
Blue Corner stuff is still OK but could do with a little editing as some of
the info is very old indeed. Rainbows never opened after some local protest
triggered, strangely enough, by applying for a drinks licence. They got
approval (previously to the drinks application) for the sauna without
anybody noticing at all. I don't suppose Hull could have supported 2 gay
saunas but it was nice to dream for a while.
Our only gay pub (Vauxhall) ceased trading a few months ago so there is very
little scene indeed now. Polar Bear, Blue Lamp, and a few other places are
considered gay friendly. See HULL MOTSS for info. Http://www.hullmotss.com
(I think that's correct URL).
Please find some information on Lincolnshire which can be added to your web
site . Other sites in North Lincolnshire (Humberside) are not included .

LONDON:
There is some confusion about Wharfdale Road / Wharfedale Street and Central
Station, which I have tried to unravel:
In the London West section, you have an entry for Brompton Cemetery, below
which is a reference to Wharfdale Road. There is no Wharfdale Road around
here, though Wharfedale Street is nearby (though not really relevant to the
cemetery).
Just below that is an entry for Central Station, 37 Wharfdale Road,
described as a cruise bar with dark room. I think this must be the
Wharfdale Road near Kings Cross, N1, i.e. not west London.
In the Cinema Clubs section, you have a new entry for Central Station,
Wharfedale Road, N1. (Should be Wharfdale Road, without the 'e'.) Perhaps
you could clarify in the next edition whether this place is a cruise bar or
just a cinema.
Finally, some information about Reading Station in BERKSHIRE. Great Western
Trains have now installed ticket barriers, so casual visitors can no longer
get access to the platforms. Also, the toilet in the subway has been
permanently closed.
A couple of updates for you :
Charing Cross Station. Blessed as I am by living only about 50ft away I've
been keeping quite a careful eye on it. Plenty of activity in the gents
loos at ANY time, but the evenings is particularly popular. Often the
access door next to the entrance turnstiles is left open, but if not it's
easy to slip through the turnstiles themselves.
The action is very difficult to miss because one out of the three blocks of
urinals is usually full of guys pulling themselves off. Plenty of guys
cruising by the sinks and outside the cubicles. Most of the cubicles have
peepholes (rather than gloryholes) and are very busy.
A good mix of guys ranging from foreign students to city types and older
gentleman. There are usually cleaners and attendants wandering through but
they turn a blind eye or give you a dirty look. The only downside is that
it's down a long steep flight of stairs so I guess access could prove a
problem for some people.
Russell Square. Still occasional cruising late at night, but strong
lighting and lack of shrubbery leave very little cover left for any action.
Seems to be popular with businessmen staying at local hotels and the area
around the refreshment stand still gets some action as long as you don't
mind absolutely everybody else in the park joining in! There have been
several muggings and attacks here recently though so unless you are very
confident it's probably not somewhere you want to go after dark - there are
better and safer places nearby.
Waterloo Station. Toilets have been shut for "extensive refurbishment". I
think we all know what that means!
Pleasuredrome Sauna. Hugely popular and as a consequence there are always
repairs going on to the crumbling facilities. Terrible building (watch out
for the floors and the staircase) but open 24x7 and always packed with a
full selection of horny guys and plenty of action. Pricey entrance at 10
quid given the state of the place, but plenty of free drinks and snacks and
you will leave satisfied!
79CXR. The toilets and basement area often have action in the
evening.Cruise upstairs and then take your man downstairs. Clientele tend
mainly to be well-built men in their twenties and thirties in to CP
orientated scenes. If it's chicken you are after then pop a couple of doors
down to the Ku Bar.
Soho Cinema. Appears to have closed down.
A43 Northampton to Kettering near to Sywell. Lay-bys on either side of the
road.
A428 Northampton to Bedford at Yardley Hastings, about 7 miles from
Northampton. Lay by
Be aware that for the past two years Nottinghamshire Police have been
collecting registration numbers of vehicles visiting No mans Hill Wood and
Thieves Wood site in Sutton in Ashfield Nottinghamshire.
Their recent policy of name and shame and prosecution will enable them to
use this information against you. Be very careful. They have now press
released all local papers stating it is their intention to name - shame and
prosecute.
BICESTER
Lay-by on south side of B4100 (ex-A41) between Bicester and M40 Junction 10,
near Bainton and Bucknell turn-offs.
The vegetation screening the layby from the main road has now been
completely cut back, leaving the layby itself completely exposed.
Dead when I went there on Sunday, doesnt look as tho anybody goes there now
(I might be wrong!)
Clearly some activity at the layby with wc nearer to Oxford

SCOTLAND
EDINBURGH GLASGOW
ABERDEEN
Trinity Centre basement toilets -
These toilets are currently closed and undergoing extensive modernisation
and it looks as the finished result will mean that they are unlikely to be
suitable for 'alternative' activities!!!!!!!!! NOV99.
Aberdeen Trinity Centre cottage. As mentioned before this was undergoing
some modernisation and unfortunately the 'new improved version' is so good
that its got marble walls from floor to ceiling - very tasteful but
absolutely no use for interacting with the young (we wish!) stud in the next
cubicle. Regrettably this cottage has gone to the great cottage heaven.
Aberdeen: Victoria Park - Toilets can be cruisey as can the fountain area,
many bushes etc close by. APR99.
Duthie Park. Cruisey toilet, park. "Especially cruisey behind the shelter at
night. Toilets close at dusk but can be busy at weekends." APR99.
Other good places for cock in Aberdeen are Seaton Park cottage - although
more mature clientele tend to be a bit pushy, and smelly! AUG99.
Aberdeen - Bon Accord Baths, Justice Mill Lane (just off Union Street) :
Local Authority baths. Two options: Downstairs in the changing room there
is some activity. Mostly Sunday lunchtime, but also other times. Health
Suite - In an attempted purge the management have cut down the male only
sessions to Monday 4pm - 9pm; Wednesday 10am - 9pm and Thursday 10am - 4pm.
Thursday is off-peak and so mostly older clientele. The introduction of
swimwear in Oct 1998 has not really dissuaded those on the hunt for cock and
it still seems as if 80 - 90% of those attending are up for it. Price is
£7.70 for all day pass or (£4.95 concessions); 10 session pass costs £50.
AUG99.
Beach north of Aberdeen basically from Murchar golf course up to Balmedie
Either cross the golf course or start from the Donview end and walk up.
Always plenty of obliging people who'll be happy to share a sand dune with
you! AUG99.
AYR
Only two sites left now as the local authority has knocked them all down.
One toilet on New Road, at a busy junction, is very busy, but closed in the
evenings. Toilets in Craigie park beside the car park are good. Old style
stalls with lots of holes, and a tiny two man urinal.
BROUGHTY FERRY
Castle Green Leisure Centre. Cruisey toilet. "Always action and mostly over
30's, but some young guys to suck and fuck. Best times Friday afternoons and
any lunchtime." Driving into town on Dundee Road, take right under bridge
opposite school and travel as far as the seafront. Castle Green is on your
left with parking opposite. SEPT99.
BYRNESS
A68, 4 miles south of Carter Bar (Scotland/England border) on roadside
heading north , 1/2 mile north of Byrness. One cubicle - HUGE glory hole and
urinal. Occasional truckers and passers-by - open 24 hrs - early evening
best - but had fun here at 6.30 in the morning once.
CALLANDER
Behind Dreadnaught hotel, Callander - Lots of holes between all cubicles but
I've never seen any action there. Look out for a strange old man with a
gray bag and flask who sits in a cubicle all day Sunday! Seriously! MAY99.
CASTLE DOUGLAS
The toilets in the car park at the tourist information office are open 24
hours and busy all day. Plenty of local action, and passing trade.
CATHKIN (STRATHCLYDE)
Lay by off Cathkin Braes Road. "Cruising in cars all along the stretch of
road, long walks available in bushy areas." Located between Carmunnock and
Cathkin (East Kilbride Road). From East Kilbride take the road up to the
left before the Cathkin Roundabout (opposite Veterinarians Surgery). APR99.
DUNOON
"During a recent trip "doon the water" I had the good fortune to look round
Dunoon on the bonnie Clyde. In genuine need of a public convenience, I found
one behind the Bank of Scotland and the Scottish Electricity shop on John
Street. In there, there are only 2 cubicles, but they are well positioned.
There is a glory hole which I didn't know was there until I occupied the
empty cubicle. Through the strategically formed hole I saw another guy at
crotch level, who after a while.... The rest I leave to you.
A bit off the beaten track, but you can get in some good scenery to make the
trip worth it."
DUMFRIES
The best site is the toilets at the top of the Whitesands. The stall at the
far end has plenty of holes, and is very busy. The toilets at the bottom
(south) of the Whitesands, by the car park, are of the same type, but not as
busy.
DUNDEE
You might want to check out the Riverside Drive Truck Stop. Quite a bit of
night time action, especially along the track that leads up the side of the
airport. Not too safe if you are on foot as the police patrol occasionally
at weekends. There is also action at the sports pavilion opposite.
Toilets at 'Swanie Ponds' ( as the locals call it). Stobswell Park,
Stobsmuir, just of the Kingsway (main dual carriageway through city). Turn
off southward at Aberdeen turnoff. Open 7 days 10am. until dusk.
Lots of passing trade. Lockups with holes giving great view of urinal. All
ages and lots of messages. I've never been short of some fun there. Not much
warning and park-keeper has office next door so take away is best. No
attendant.
Dundee University, Dundee
Tower Building basement toilets. Some peepholes exist between the two stalls
nearest the window, although most of the other larger holes have been
patched up. Still quite busy with a lot of student traffic especially at
lunch time. There is a camera on the door so be careful and don't spend too
long. It would be best to take your trade to the 10th floor toilets so that
you don't have to hurry things.
DUNFERMLINE
Pittencrief Park can be worth a visit during the day, but don't spend all
day looking. At night park in the car park and check out the talent.
DUNDEE
Railway Station can be quite good. Not much happens at urinals although the
2 cubicles can be quite good at times. Easy enough to look over top of
cubicle wall if anyone interesting seems to be next door - also space under
partition to pass notes, etc. Noisy double door to platform gives lots of
warning. I've had two cute young guys there in succession one morning
whilst waiting for my connection. CCTV operates on the stairs leading down
from the station concourse, but no evidence of CCTV on the actual platforms
and certainly none in toilets. AUG99.
EDINBURGH
Toilets
Castle Terrace Car Park (just Off Lothian Road). Cruisey toilet. "Several
urinals and cubicle. Action and guys vary, usually busiest during lunch hour
and then early evening." JULY99. Be careful the Attendant's Office has a
small hole in the curtain. This toilet has been raid by the Police over
recent years
Haymarket Toilets, just minutes from Haymarket railway station at the bottom
of Morrison Street. This place is large and roomy and can be worth a look.
Lately (September 2000) its been very cruisey around 5pm - 6.45 - but its
always worth a look.
West Tollcross Toilet (Opposite the Tollcross Fire Station. This toilet has
a urinal and two cubicles. I just can't drive past without having a look in.
There can be some interesting people visit. Be careful the Firemen know what
goes on. Two arrests were made in this toilet in August 2000
Nicholson Square. ( From Princess Street to up 'The Bridges' - Nicholson
Square is about a mile. Cruisey toilet. Located across the road from Potter
Row Students Union, near the University of Edinburgh.
Glory hole between centre and right hand side cubicle. Take a bag as the
doors have no locks! On my recent visit this cottage was deserted and there
was a large notice indicating that the police were monitoring the premises.
It's a pity that they weren't more observant as of the 3 cubicles one had a
missing door and the pans in the other two cubicles were bust! .Question -
Much said about a camera on the cottage but I can't see any evidence -
Update- September 2000. There has long been talk about a camera in this
location - but Edinburgh cruisers are 99.9% certain that it does not exist.
Caution - a large number of arrest were made here in August 2000
The Ross Bandstand toilet in Princess Street Gardens (summer only) can be
worth a look but its not really worth going out of your way.
St Andrew Sq. bus station toilet - The bus station and toilet closed in
August 2000 - many an Edinburgh Queen was saddened by this action.
Cathedral Lane Toilets - Cottage behind St James Centre. Very long metal
urinal with normally several guys wanking from early afternoon onwards all
ages and types. This toilet is used by the general public and as such not
much action (just lots of wanking and looking) but it can be a great pick up
point. Uniform police do go in from time to time. September 2000
Toilets on St. John's Rd, Corstorphine - on way to airport, just past
Woolworths on same side. 3 cubicles, one with view hole. Open 10-6 7 days.
Good warnings as loose manhole outside bangs when approached. Always a very
steady flow of hot cock. All ages - mainly older in mid -afternoon, but lots
of suits pass on way in or out of town. No attendant.
The Toilets in St Johns Road, Edinburgh, are as good as described ..........
I have
never really gone there and not had some fun ........ even if it is just
watching some
guys sharing a bit of manual relief!! Last time I was there I got a splendid
hand job off an older guy (about 50-ish) while another bloke sat in a
cubicle with an open door and watched ........... another time I
wanked off, and came twice in about 1 minute, cos the guy I was watching as
I stood
at the urinal was totally naked ...... an absolute BEAR!! wanking away .....
in one of the
cubicles .......
There are loads of messages on the walls, and I am keen on the one which
says there
is a TV who visits on weekends ............ now THAT would be nice!!
One of my best was when I was wanking there in December a few years ago, and
a
guy in the next cubicle gave me his black lacy knickers ....... it felt like
I came about a
gallon in them, (modest eh?) now THAT was a Christmas present!! FEB2000
Saint Patrick Square. Cruisey toilet. Now I have cruised Edinburgh for
years and unless you know something I don't, these toilets do not exsist.
University
Potter Row Students Union - The toilet in the basement is now open again - a
recent visit showed it to be more 'dead' than quiet.
University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh
The best action is in the George Square area of the University. The Adam
Ferguson Building, men's room on the ground floor has some gloryholes. It is
pretty good during lunch hours as that is where all the students go.
The Potter Row Students Union on Bristol Square has some restrooms in the
basement. As all the partitions are made of metal there are no gloryholes or
peepholes, but men usually slip paper under the partition, and knocking
usually works to identify that you are ready and willing. After 6.00pm it
can get busy.
Surprise, surprise, the Library has some action in the basement with
peepholes. It is usually quite safe in there and is a good place to take
away.
Edinburgh Uni - All holes gone on Adam Ferguson ground floor toilets and you
need a matriculation card to get into library. MAY99.
Outdoor
"Calton Hill" - This is certainly one of Edinburgh's main cruising sites at
night (usually after 11.00pm at night. Enter from Blenheim Place and go up
the steps on the left hand side or go down the steps on the right. It won't
take you too long to find something going on. The Police have indicated (in
the press) that so long as discretion is used they will not bother people on
the hill, unless complaints are made or assaults take place. Caution - an
serious assault took place on Calton Hill in early August 2000 - Please be
careful
Blenheim Place into Royal Terrace - On the garden side of the bushes
cruises - again caution is required as this is a residential area.
Regent Road Gardens (at the bottom of Regent Rd, before the traffic lights
that go into Montrose Terrace. Can be very cruisey after dark.
Regent Road Cemetery - Has been know to be 'very cruisey both day and night.
The Edinburgh Evening News did a two spread article in August 2000 - so be
very cautious
Blackford Hill in Edinburgh is a good cruising location. Drive up to the
Observatory and then walk in the 'direction' of Edinburgh Castle - just
passed the walls of the Observatory you will see bushes to your left - get
in there!!!
Warriston Cemetery (go down Brought Rd and ask directions).Busiest cruising
area in decent weather is Vast area, always people about for one of two
reasons, to walk their dog or looking for cock (sometimes both). Plenty of
hidden areas to go with someone. Daylight only!
Inverleith Park toilets by entrance opposite Botanic Garden. Report from
September 2000 This toilet is rarely open and hardly worth the effort.
Sauna'
No 18 Sauna, at 18 Albert Place, near the top of Leith Walk. Opening hours
are Monday to Saturday 1200hrs to 2200hrs, Sunday 1400hrs to 2200 hrs.
Facilities include Jacuzzi, sauna, showers, resting area, two unlit rooms.
Town House Health Club, 51/53 East Claremont Street, Edinburgh Tel. 0131
556 6116.
Sauna Cabins; Jacuzzi; Steam Box; Video Lounge; Private Rooms; Licensed bar;
sun cabin, gym. Open 12noon - 11pm daily; Entry £10 (free refreshments and
complimentary salad buffet (6pm on Friday and Saturday) and 5.30pm, Sunday).
As the name suggests this health club is situated in a Georgian Town House
in Edinburgh's New Town. The facilities comprise on the basement floor - a
basic gym; tanning cabin; two sauna cabins (although only the larger one is
currently in use) a 6 person steam cabin, an 8 person spa pool, shower
units, an a small dark room. On the ground floor is the entrance hall and
large lounge with private bar selling snacks and soft and licensed drinks;
and the changing room. The first floor has a TV lounge and Video Lounge
which is decked out in a jungle fashion with leaved covered netting to
provide some atmosphere. On the second floor are three private rest rooms
and a larger darkroom which is again decked out in jungle fashion.
All in all I was very impressed with the facilities offered - which are
certainly more upmarket and cleaner than those of some other saunas -
however they currently cater for around 35 - 40 a day so this may
deteriorate if numbers increase. They have special events - e.g. on
Tuesday nights from 6pm Student and Under 26s get in for £5; Wednesday
nights are Buddies Nights where two get in for the price of one. On Friday,
Saturday and Sunday nights a complimentary salad buffet is provided at 6pm
(5.30pm Sunday). All in all I would recommend it and enjoyed both my
visits there this last weekend! NOV99.

FALKIRK
Falkirk: Howgate Centre - Toilets at far end of centre below Marks & Spencer
entrance. 3 cubicles with peep holes between. Fairly busy but unless it's a
quick wank under the wall take elsewhere. APR99.
Falkirk: Callander Park - the wooded area of this large park South East of
the town centre can be cruisey and is a good place to take to takeaway to
during warmer weather. Police have been known to patrol there but on a nice
day you need no excuse to wander round. Be a bit more careful after dark.
APR99.
GLASGOW
The toilets in the St Enoch shopping centre, are very busy, there used to be
good peep holes, but they've put metal sheets up between the stalls.
St Enoch's Shopping Centre, Argyll Street. The toilets on the first floor
certainly provide a good viewing gallery.
A word of caution to add:
"Used to be the place to go in town, but it got so busy that they carried
out successive clampdowns and now is nothing like what it used to be like.
Beware of security camera monitoring toilet entrance."
"Debenhams has been recently renovated. Part of this restoration has been
the installation of a large floor to ceiling mirror alongside the urinals.
It looks very much like the new mirror is a two-way mirror and will be used
by police and security for spying purposes." FEB2000.
Toilet at the corner of St Vincent Street and Buchanan Street. Be careful of
police cameras situated on a pole right outside. "This is the traditional
pick-up spot in town. Open 24 hours a day, but attended, it is worth a visit
after the pubs close at 12 midnight, and then again at 3 am, after the clubs
do. If anything, it is a compulsory sight and quite a big part of the local
same-sex culture."
The park either side of Kelvin Grove is busy for cruising at the weekend,
some weekday action. Kelvin Grove Park comes to life with men after dark.
Mostly young (ish) and prepared for anything. The area of the park with most
interest is on the opposite side to the University Tower.
Kelvin Way is a straight road that runs through the park, actually splitting
it in two, and is not rare to see the same car driving past twice,
especially after it gets dark. It is a very nice park, and it is advised to
have a walk around to get familiar with the spots where action actually
happens."
The felling of trees and bushes in Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow continues, but
a large bush up towards the broad bridge over the Kelvin remains intact,
with cover for ten or so guys at times !!! :-)
Knightswood Park, Archerhill Road. Cruisey park. "Full of bushes and trees
where you can have some fun. Not really a lot of men down there, though.
Most show up usually after 11pm." FEB2000.
Princess Square, Buchanan Street. Check out the two toilets on the third
floor and the one in the basement.
"The second most exclusive shopping centre in town, after the Italian
Centre. It can be pretty busy, good for picking up, but find somewhere else
to take the trade. Also, watch out for security guards."
"The toilet has recently been modernised and now includes a two way mirror -
so you can be watched by the attendant." SEPT99.
Sept 2000 - Its not really worth a look now - unless you want to see some
nice shops
Queen's Park, on the south side of the city, at the bottom of Victoria Road,
though it can also be accessed from Pollokshaws Road. Cruising goes on at
the top of the park, in the area behind the flagpole.
Makro, (the cash and carry people) on the Hillington estate, just off the M8
motorway, The toilets here, are great, constant trade, four stalls, all with
peep holes, the far end stall has a hole to look through along the line of
urinals, great!
Cottages in the basement and third floor of the Museum of Modern art can be
cruisey. Best times are lunchtimes with local office workers on lunch
breaks.
Glasgow University, Glasgow
Library, 2nd floor. No Gloryholes, but a good peep hole. Usually good action
lunchtime and early evenings. Good for watching or touching under the stall.
Also check out the 'hub'. Ground floor toilets a big peephole - not quite a
gloryhole but almost!
Coop Shopping Centre, Maryhill Road. Cruisey toilet in car park. SEPT99.
Glasgow: Sauchiehall Centre - Toilets on 6th floor are very busy for
lunchtimes onwards. Wanking at urinals and picking up. Be aware of camera on
door and don't visit too often. 2 cubicles with hole between. APR99.
Sauchiehall Shopping Centre, Sauchiehall Street. Cruisey toilet on sixth
floor. "Small cruisey toilet, 2 cubicles and 3 stalls." FEB2000. They have
now taken away one of the doors and the actions has decreased considerably -
September 2000
Glasgow: Savoy Centre - Toilets in centre have 3 cubicles with peep holes.
Busy for picking up but take elsewhere. APR99.

GRANTSHOUSE
Layby off A1. Cruisey toilet. "Large toilet with two cubicles both with
peepholes/gloryholes. Very busy after dark with lots of cruising outside in
cars. It is popular with truckers." Located just south of town between
Berwick and Edinburgh. FEB2000.
GRETNA GREEN
Just over the Border off M6/A74(M). Only toilet in village - open until
dusk. I suppose there are a few jilted grooms hanging around here!!! 2
lockups with peep holes . Not too busy but lots of messages etc.
HAMILTON
Strathclyde Park. Cruisey park. "Large 'wildlife park,' cruising from cars
and on nature walks at many sites in the park. A mixed age group, especially
lunch and going home time (4-6pm)." Located near the intersection with M74.
Take the second exit from the roundabout below the motorway (looks like you
are heading for the Holiday Inn) and that's the park entrance. Carry on
until reaching a small roundabout. Take first left up the hill to the car
park on left at top. APR99.
INVERNESS
Public Toilets located in Portacabins overlooking the river next to Eden
Court Theatre can be very cruisey during lunchtimes and early afternoons.
Attendants visit infrequently.
The railway station toilets see some activity, but mention should be made of
the bus station toilets - a lot of activity there, sometimes in cubicles,
also takeaway possibilities to adjacent multi-story. 3 warnings - it can get
busy with 'legitimate' users; it also sees winos from time to time; and it
sometimes gets less than pleasant types- I have personally been raped there
a few years ago (not badly), and at least one of my friends had a similar
experience.
The cottages in the Public Parking and Picnic area on the Southbound A9 road
approximately 2 miles north of Inverness are sometimes busy and there is a
large gloryhole between the single cubicle and the urinals. Be careful as
there is little warning of impending visitors. The area behind the cottage
and Picnic site is known locally as 'Homo Heights' and is active after dark
with a lot of in-car cruising going on in the car park below.
WARNING: The cottage, and probably the 'Homo Heights' cruising area on the
southbound A9 at Kessock are being heavily watched. I went into the Cottage
for legitimate use on Sunday, within 30 seconds there were two plain-clothes
numbers in there with a camera taking photos. Didn't speak to me - I
realised somthing was up when I heard the radios, completed my business and
left. They were still standing at the door of the cottage. They only
identified themselves as police when I asked them to confirm their identity.
No hassle, but I'm sure there would have been if I'd done anything remotely
dodgy.
May be connected to a brutal murder of a deaf-mute guy 'with connections to
the gay community' (reported) which took place in Inverness last week. Then
again, it looked more like a high-profile 'warning-off' operation. It's
always been a debatable area - too much conflict with legitimate use,
families walking and having picnics, especially in daytime, IMHO. Steer
clear for now.
Inverness - you mention about police activity at Homo Heights, Inverness.
This area now appears to be okay as a man was arrested and convicted of the
murder of the deaf mute guy about six months ago. AUG99.
DINGWALL (15 miles north of Inverness):
One cottage in the main car park behind the High Street. - it is actually a
converted cottage!! One entrance door for M and F, separate facilities
within. Small peep holes, very little activity - except for a *fierce*
part-time female attendant. Closes 5pm winter, ?8pm summer. The other, much
better, cottage is in a car park off Tulloch Street, by a monument. 3
cubicles, peep holes in doors, regular activity of all ages from early teens
up. Very little police attention, but it does happen. Open till 5-6pm, best
lunchtimes and after 4pm (school crowd coming home).
WARNING: There was a recent report in local gay press (Gay Scotland) about a
police operation in the above areas which was said to have been mounted in
response to local complaints - guys trolling the toilets and "approaching
other men - some with children" !!!. 43 arrests were made and one of those
arrested was later found drowned in a loch. Further operations are said to
be continuing. Seems that the use of uniformed officers and warning notices
would be too sensible.
IRVINE
The toilets at the seafront (harbour side) are frequented by guys in cars
Irvine Beach. Cruisey beach. "There is plenty of action in the trees and in
the sand dunes once you are on the beach top. Follow the path from the road
down to the beach passing the trees on the left where some action goes on,
to the sand dunes and your there right in the middle of it all." Take Coast
Road from Magnum Centre South towards Ayr. APR99.
If the weather is good, try the beach at Irvine south of the Magnum leisure
centre. The next car park south is OK to park at, or further down opposite
the industrial estate you will see a gate. The wooded area and dunes are
cruisey. JUNE99.
Also Stevenston beach (nudist) but it's quite a hike! Take the Ardeer
turnoff, then follow the signs to the point. You will see to your left
(below the wall of old munitions site) the beach area. The further along,
the more men, JUNE99.
KILMARNOCK
The town centre, across from the police station ! by the river there is an
old brick built open air long urinal. Its open 24 hours, and has almost
constant trade.
I passed through Kilmarnock on my way to Glasgow last October to be
confronted with the only cottage left in Kilmarnock being bricked up before
my very eyes!! I haven't been back since so I don't know if any other toilet
is being built to replace it.
There are also toilets in the bus station which are good. They have holes
between the 20 or so lockups and can be good for takeaways! There is an
attendant in residence but he doesn't seem to be interested in doing
anything other than sitting on his arse reading the paper (thank God!!)
Bus Station, Kilmarnock - Cubicles 3rd and 4th from far wall have best
holes. MAY99.
KINROSS (Fife)
Cottage in main street - opposite Greens Hotel. After turning off motorway,
turn left at mini-roundabout and 800 yards along road - on right hand side.
Lots of warning and gets quite busy around dinner-time - a few lorry drivers
but lots of locals and passing suits taking a detour off the motorway (M8).
Be careful not to go in and out too much as only 500 yards from Police
station and they pass by frequently.
Loch Leven is about 5-10 minutes drive from Kinross. To get to the cruising
area/cottage you leave the M90 at junction 5 (junction before Kinross
Granada services when traveling from Edinburgh) and head for Vane Farm
Nature Reserve (RSPB) which is on the B9097. Drive half a mile past this and
you will see a sign for Picnic area and toilets on the left (Junction is a
bit of a bitch ...... blink and you will miss it). This site is busy all
through the day and up to midnight getting a lot of passing trade.
Police visits are few and far between, with plenty of warning if they do
turn up. Cottage is sometimes closed over winter, although cruising is still
very busy. Men of all shapes and forms, with cock sizes to suit every
occasion. Cottage is a little over lit and not used too much. Glory holes
from one of the cubicles through to just above the urinals .... perfect for
cock spotting !
Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Probably the best site in
an area where cruising/cottaging is limited.
>>Not sure if you have been advised of this already but the following
relates to the car park and toilets at Loch Leven. The year started well
with the toilets being opened again after the winter. Good regular trade
made the site very popular. This year the food van that haunted the site
last year has not bothered to set up business, which leaves everyone to get
on with what they want.
Visited the site 18/6/00. The toilets have experienced some fire damage
which has closed the whole building (not sure about the ladies). Fence is
now erected around chaps end and is completely out of use. As a result, the
site is now only used by tourists and now not worth spending any time there.
I will drop in from time to time and advise if they re-open the toilets or
just demolish them. JULY00.
Kinross - Public toilet in main street now closed MAY99.
KIRKALDY
A very cruisey park is Ravenscraig park which gets a lot of (mostly young)
night time action. Park in the first car park, and walk through the trees
towards the sea. Can be very dark, so you have to have your wits about you!
LONGNIDDRY
Cruisey beach near car park. "Bushes behind the beach area. Walk around to
get some action." Located on the Coast Road, east of Musselburgh, or go
through Longniddry on the A199 and turn left. FEB2000.
MOTHERWELL / HAMILTON
Strathclyde Park is a good cruising ground, there are lots of small car
parks, with lots going on in the bushes.
MUSSELBURGH
Granada Services. Cruisey toilet. "Three cubicles, 4 urinals, washroom and
shower room, both with lockable doors. Action varies, but can be busiest
during the day and early evenings. Located at junction of A720 and A1.
FEB2000.
PERTH
On the North inch, hang about the old bridge and you will soon be approached
, people cruising there most nights after dark. Also the toilets at the
South inch can be busy, (daytime only) but it is not unknown for the police
to have CCTV cameras trained on them so have a care.
PRESTWICK
Prestwick beach from the go carts is ok - police have been antagonising ALL
drivers in the evenings. The loos are out of bounds - too many plain clothes
officers stopping 'passersby'.
Cottage at the corner of New Road? are ok to pop in for trade, as is the
loos at Alloa (travel past Burns cottage, loos are on the left) JUNE99.
Cruisey toilet in car park. "It can be cruisey in the evenings." Driving
past the airport into town, take first right at traffic lights and the beach
is 1 mile away at end of road past station. SEPT99.
ST ANDREWS
St. Andrews Harbour Men's toilets - there are holes in the toilet cubicle
doors which let you get a good look at guys dicks as the take a piss. Quite
often guys will wank just so that you can watch and then when you get hard
they'll watch you through the hole!! Busiest at weekends.
Public Men's Toilets at the end of South Street in St. Andrews, by the West
Port. Up until last January there was a glory hole linking the two cubicles
so you could stick your dick through and get it wanked or sucked. These
toilets have got holes in the doors and if guys are interested they'll stand
facing the holes and jack themselves off.!
STIRLING
The Granada Services at the main interchange has great stalls, but like all
motorway service areas, there are a lot of straight guys.
Stirling: Thistle Centre - Toilets near road overbridge. 3 cubicles with
hole between centre and right hand side cubicle. Quite busy afternoons but
with plenty of genuine users. You can actually see the guy in the next
cubicle by looking carefully at the light reflectors above the cubicle!
There are cameras outside so don't come and go too often, although you can
sit for about an hour with no hassle. There are also 2 15 yr old boys who
visit it regularly. One is definitely for rent and I think the other was
used 2 years ago as entrapment by local police in another toilet now
demolished - A clampdown that resulted in 2 suicides. Avoid these 2 guys.
APR99.
Layby near Stirling Castle. Cruisey parking lot and nearby woods. "Used all
day, but very busy at night. All ages and lots of action in bushes and
cars." Located 2 miles from the castle on the road to Gargunnock City.
FEB2000.
STRATHCLYDE
South of the Clyde, the best sites at the moment are at West Ferry, just off
the M8 westwards, before Langbank and toilets in Hunter Square and in the
town Centre of Gourock. The latter had a HUGE glory hole until recently,
although it's straight across from the local cop-shop !! The female
attendant of the former keeps a discrete eye, but sex on site is not unheard
of...
TRANENT (EAST LOTHIAN)
Cruisey toilet near post office car park. "Two cubicles with large hole. A
lot of elderly folk, but worth waiting around for something special." Turn
left at post office and the cottage is next to the car park on right. APR99.

COUNTY DURHAM
Washington Services (A1 Southbound)
Active cottage, small holes between cubicles and under wall action.
If you go back out of the services through the doors past the cottage, you
will emerge in the lorry park, directly in front you is the service area
itself (petrol pumps etc), if you walk towards the pumps but veer left, you
will come across a pathway into the back woods, once here look to your right
and behind the services is a small derelict building. Action here
throughout the day and night, either wait for the lorry drivers to make an
entrance or take-out from the services cottage.
Durham Services
The glory holes have now been covered over with steel sheeting, under wall
action now the only option.
Durham City
Walkergate car park down by the sands in the town centre.
Portaloo with 2 lockups, glory hole between both large enough to get your
fist through, (cannot imagine why you would want to ;-), so large enough to
get the biggest set of cock and balls through (I try to do my bit a shave a
small time off each time I visit just to smooth any rough edges). Plenty of
cock action throughout the day and early evening. A building site has
developed around about so you do get the occasional fully clad construction
worker, (not that I am in the slightest interested you understand drool
drool!)
Rushyford lay-by. (A1, junction 60, A689 towards Bishop Auckland and it is
the one on the right just before Moe's Muncher on the left coming from the
A1)
Still as active as ever, a constant stream of traffic throughout the day and
well into the night. Cruised recently by a lorry driver who confirmed that
this place is known throughout the lorry drivers fraternity as a good place
to get a blow job and as 90% of them see one pair of lips as good another,
don't mind who or which sex gives it to them. The lay-bys all along the
road are also used to some extent, but their main use is to take your trade
from Rushyford.
Sedgefield
A1 Junction 60, instead of turning left to go to Rushyford turn right on the
A689 toward Sedgefield, turn left at the first roundabout (A177), about a
quarter mile on you will come to
Hardwick Hall
As you turn into the main drive bear left, straight road with car parks
hidden all the way along with the main car park at the end, used for
cruising or to take trade either from Rushyford or from the Sedgefield
lay-by
Sedgefield
If you continue past Hardwick Hall, after about ¼ to ½ mile (past the golf
course on your left and the derelict hospital on your right) there is a
lay-by on the right. Not dissimilar to Rushyford in Layout and becoming just
as popular, has a large wooded area to one side so plenty of cover for any
of the debauched activities you may wish to partake.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
CUMBRIA
Keswick
Car park in the town centre, cottage at the back of the row of
shops/restaurants. Nothing happening when we were there but plenty of very
up-to-date graphic graffiti/meeting times together with peep holes in the
doors to the urinals.
Lakeside.
If you walk down to the lake (or drive and park-up) and head towards the
jetty, on your left there is a cottage on the hillside, only open during the
summer months but the woodland at the back, we understand, is active
throughout the year. The lakeside walk is also quite cruisy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
CLEVELAND
Redcar
Cottage by the main car park by the indoor fairground (going into Redcar
from the north), from the same car park walk northwards up the beach to the
sand dunes, obviously the further away from the main family areas so the
more fun there is to be had. Nude sunbathing is also in evidence and if you
are lucky some nude stud will let you keep his cock from shrivelling in the
sun by keeping it moist in your mouth.
Seaton Carew
The A178 Billingham to Hartlepool road. Just before you get to the bridge
over the river (from Billingham) is a car park with a wooded copse opposite.
Has been very active in the past but with a police raid and local news
headlines a couple of years ago things died off for a while. This seems to
be all in the past now as it is becoming quite active again through the day
and into the night. If you continue past here, over the roundabout, on your
right hand side is the entrance to the North Gare Reserve, turn in and
follow the road to the car park at the end (which is used for late night
cruising) park up and follow the path to the coast, walk towards the pier
and take a left at any suitable point along the way. This will take you to
the dunes, which are active mainly during the summer months. Be prepared to
walk as the area is vast and maybe a pair of binoculars is the order of the
day.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

LINCOLNSHIRE
Belton (M180 Junction 2)
Between Belton and Epworth there is a small picnic area with cottage, have
reason to get here quite regularly and there has been action of some sort
whenever we have been. 2 cubicles, 1 disabled, 1 with hole in door. On our
last visit a hole had been made between the cubicles, this is through 2"
concrete so they mean business.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
Blidworth
Using your invaluable guide we found the above and were not disappointed,
very active well into the wee small hours. This place is high on our list
and rivals Rushyford (County Durham) in its popularity.

YORKSHIRE
Bawtry A638 (Bawtry -Doncaster Road)
King's Wood, A couple of minutes drive northwards out of Bawtry itself, on
the right hand side, a secluded car park with woodland walks, again, visited
quite recently and found it to be very active, between 6pm and 11pm they was
a constant stream of cars and virtually all were there to play.
